2priceless
I would say that players in the post season have a better shot at making All Mid State and All State than players whose teams didn't fare so well. I mean Day has a great shot at making BCB Defensive MVP . So cheer up. I am sure he would rather have that ring over any other individual honor, right? 2priceless
In my opinion, they should wait until every team in the region is done playing and obviously there is still a team standing so they SHOULD wait till after the state game. Folk could say the same thing about nominations for Mr Football too. However to schedule the banquets and order the hardware, they have to do it earlier. WinWhenItCounts
In all fairness, if everyone is going to be on an equal playing field, then the post season should not count. That is unfortunate for the players that really step it up during post season, but in the end, it is all about team. It is all about the team, and sometimes there are players that should receive honors that don't. I see this especially with the linemen of the better backfields. That is the way it goes though. bulldog4jester
If Josh Day And Rod Wilks Don't Make It Than There Are Some Serious Problems! Also Can There Be Two QB's To Make It? I'm Wondering Because I Can't Decide Who Means More To The Team And Is Better? Sonny Gray (Smyrna) Or Scott Thomas (Riverdale) Both Players Are Great And Watching Them Both Play This Year Has Been A Privlage. If There Can Only Be One I'm Glad I Don't Have To Pick! 2priceless
There will be an overall MVP, and one defensive player of the yr, offensive -player of the yr, and a special teams player of the yr. Then each team will have reps for it . Last yr the region champ had the most, then the other teams had a set number of members. I am certain Wilks and Sonny both are there. Just remember tho it is based on their performance thru the regular seasona nd NOT the playoffs as deemed by the region coaches.
