Maryville will bring a lot more fans.

My brother came in from Franklin to watch Maryville tonight. He brought in a Nashville newspaper that had the playoff capsules. Hillsboro has a 2000 yd passer and a 2000 yd rusher. They will be a big challenge for Maryville.

I just hope Hillsboro isn't as strong as the 2002 team was. The 2002 Hillsboro team was the best team a Maryville team has ever beaten.

i appreciate you recognizing that team rebelron. too bad yall couldnt have played us in '03 because that was definitely a better team. as a hillsboro fan, i believe we are every bit as good as the '02 team. that team had lots of STUDS but this team has lots of individual talent too. the only differences: WE CAN NOW PASS THE BALL! AND WE CAN DEFEND THE PASS (well, most of the time). something we couldnt do much of in years past. this team is more polished and balanced.

im worried about this maples guy though. we have loads of athleticism in our defnsive backfield but its usually kinda hit-or-miss. like tonight's game, henry county got pretty good production off the pass, but at the same time we had several INT's that hurt them.

im very excited and lookin forward to a great game.

Tyler Maples is by far the best Maryville receiver ever. He may not have as great of hands as Brad Merrit or Tyler Gaskin. But! Tyler Maples runs a 4.39,He is very elusive and smooth. He makes it look easy. Maryville has their best skill players ever. Aaron Douglas is a great tight end. Both Douglas and Maples are going to UT. Adrian Baker is a D1 running back who has been offered by Akron and Miami,OH.

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
