Temple Forfeits to Pickett Co.

Guys, if the Pickett County coach isn't going head over heels about this so called "forfeit"-which I believe isn't going to be counted as one- then why are you?

How can you blame Temple for this? Evidently the Pickett Co. coached called and wanted a answer two weeks before the tournament was to start, and Temple could not give them a definate answer. Obviously the Pickett coach knew they didnt know if they were going to be able to play, so that left temple no option but to back out.

This is why basketball should not start regular season games until football has finished. Now, before you basketball faithful start, football should look at shortening their playoff system by a week. This way everybody is happy.

There is no fine, there is no win/loss. But, so that everyone will be happy. The Picket Coach and the Temple coach have agreed to play January 20th at Pickett. And I will add that the PC coach is as classy a gentlemen as there is. Both schools are excited to play and look forward to a packed house.

I think Wadley leaving is effecting Temple more than anyone thought, and you would have to be stupid not to think that this will effect the team.
