Heard Milan had 5 different centers in preactice last wwek, trying to put people where they can have the most depth for the team. All that will settle soon. I remember 2 or 3 years ago, Milan lost all the scrimmages and looked really bad. Lost to Haywood and looked horrible. Haywood did not win a game that year and Milan went deep.

Dyesburg sounds like a team to beat.

MILAN HAS OUR RESPECT!!!!! they are big and will do a fine job this season.... well coached and the kinks will work theirselfs out!!!! i hope dyersburg and milan are both in the boro in december. good luck bull dogs :D

milan's big qb looked impressive throwing the ball. dyersburg started out in a loose coverage exspecting milan to run the ball more. the final score was 6-1 with the first string kids and 3-2 with the young kids. dyersburg played several freshman against the seconds.... at one time they had 5 freshman on the field. the last score milan threw the long ball on a freshman corner, but having said that BE READY MILAN IS A VERY TALENTED TEAM....and should go deep in the playoffs...... dyersburg played this scrimage with out their starting qb and starting middle linebacker.!!!!!

so that super fast qb yall had isn't a starter?

Dyersburg has a nasty backfield. The QB is about as fast as you're gonna find in HS football. They're offense will be a nightmare to prepare for each week. Milan had double digit fumbles 5 or 6 were center quarterback exchanges. Brian Bledsoe is still out with his shoulder. The Dawgs have a lot of room to improve but should start looking pretty good in the coming weeks. Good luck to Dyersburg.

so dawg fans how did dyersburg compair to crockett? didn't milan go with crockett in the spring.... #17 is rashad taylor. he will be playing slot when logan returns... that is scary having him and caldwell, bobby ellis at fullback, vick mclin and click at recievers. #26 is the second team fullback, #6 whitfield can fly to.

He was the starter the past two seasons and is very fast ..but Logan Parker, the star quarterback from Obion Central the past several seasons transferred to Dyersburg this year and was named the starting quarterback before he had his first practice with the Trojans..So..Dyersburg decided to move the kid you saw at quarterback to play in the slot or maybe several positions ..may end up like a Reggie Bush and with Tyler Caldwell and others at the skill positions will be more loaded ..Dyersburg hired the dad of the kid from Obion Central to be a counselor so he ended up transferring to Dyersburg and with his Dad now being a new employee in the Dyersburg system ,got a hardship and doesn't have sit out a year ...He's a better passer than the kid you saw and knows the Dyersburg system as the new Dyersburg coach this year was his coach at Central the past few years ..So..all in all..Dyersburg is expected to be probably the best team in our area and maybe the State..Barring injuries..this team could really be a special team..as in a State championship team..But..that's on paper,so who knows..but most people seem to believe this may be Dyersburg's year and hopefully it is!

dburg has a lot of work to do....they are no where near being capable of making a run to the boro.......

don't get me wrong casue i believe that dburg has the best backfield in west tennessee.........but there are a lot of question marks all over defense.......the tools are there to get the job done, but several young kids are going to have to STEP UP and GROW UP real fast......

is the line going to get the job done on both sides of the ball? will there be chemistry? will there be leadership?

if the coaches can pull it all together, and all the questions are resolved, and with a little luck, then yes, dburg may have a very good year indeed....

one of the best teams from dyersburg in the last 12 years was one that was preseason picked next to last in the region........ they went 13-1

    • West would be a good team to get behind if they can pull it off again like last year. That championship game last year was awesome.
    • I say that because he stepped out of a MUCH better situation on his own than he would see at least his first 3 years at DCA and it would take at least that much to bring him back to coaching. There are other fish in the sea, but again money talks. Need to fix the girls hoops too. Now I'll try again. Who has Pierce locked in for his staff? Hearing a McGavock man but not the Iceman.
    • I’ve heard mostly good things from the gridiron. Lots of optimism. It sounds like the portal has mostly helped, though there are a few expected defections. Comeback year!
    • Rudesell 1 year at Crockett. Coach Tate 2 weeks a Bradford. South Gibson supposedly going with jcs middle school coach. Which isn’t who I thought would get it, I know the top 2 was between him and Obion girls head coach.
    • Looks like Trent Noah was released from his NLI at South Carolina with intent to pursue playing closer to home. Kentucky and Louisville both reported to be in the mix for him now.
