neutral05
I have seen all of the above play. I'm from the Chattanooga area so have seen Oglesby more than the other two. It sounds good to say how many times Terrence has either led his team to a late victory or put games into overtime, but you have to ask, how many times had his shot selection shot them out of those games? He's an extremely clutch player, so BC fans need to be thankful he can shoot them back into a game as quickly as he can shoot them out. I agree that the bigs should get the ball more; they have been lately apparently. No reason a 6'8 and 6'9 guy (in high school) should be getting their points off of putbacks, especially when both might be D-I signees (Dodd already is-MTSU). Wiggins and Wattad are extremely good players as well, as is Allen. When Oakland played Butler, Alabama in the HTC, he almost propelled them to victory (losing by 6). When Bradley played them in the final, Oglesby had problems with the Butler pressure and finished with 10 points. I have a vote in the poll, still not quite sure who it's going to, yet. "shake and bake"
QUOTE(orange~is~tradition @ Feb 5 2007 - 11:14 AM) 826359045 Currently he has offers from Miami, Michigan, and Tennessee. And many other coaches including Billy Donovan and Rick Pitino have sent him letters and stuff saying that if he makes it to the state tourny they would personally be there to watch him. Good Luck to him!

deetone23
Randy Culpepper from Sheffield hasn't been mentioned for AA. He recently signed with UTEP. Maurice Miller for AAA. Brandon Wright for Division 2. These are the best players that I have personally seen play this season.

He recently signed with UTEP. Maurice Miller for AAA. Brandon Wright for Division 2. These are the best players that I have personally seen play this season. I think that Culpeppers team not being one of the top teams and not even ranked will keep him from even getting nominated for Mr.Basketball in 2A.I think that Jewon Long,Josh Sain, and Josh Slater or Gerald Robinson will be the nominees. scotty
QUOTE(coacht @ Jan 31 2007 - 04:48 PM) 826353528 I have the official ballot in my hand. Please make your recommendations from now until February 9th: The Mr. and Miss Basketball Awards will be presented to the top girls and boys in four classifications of the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association at the state basketball championships in March. This group is to include three finalists for Miss Basketball and three for Mr. Basketball in each classification. The winners of the coveted award are to receive the distinguished Mr. and Miss Basketball trophy with the other finalists being presented plaques. The awards will be presented for each classification prior to the championship game awards presentation for each class, respectively. The presentation of the Mr. and Miss Basketball Awards for Division II will be given on Saturday, March 3 at Allen Arena on the campus of David Lipscomb University. The presentation of the Miss Basketball Awards for Division I, Classes A, AA, and AAA will be given during each championship awards ceremony for each class on Saturday, March 10 at the Murphy Center on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University. The presentation of the Mr. Basketball Awards for Division I, Classes A, AA, and AAA will be given during each championship awards ceremony for each class on Saturday, March 17 at the Murphy Center on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University. Any player at any of our member schools is eligible to receive votes, and I would encourage you to take a moment and give careful consideration to any player with whom you are familiar and who you think deserving of the Mr. or Miss Basketball Award. These votes are a nominating process only. A selection committee that will include representatives from each area of the state will meet to vote on the finalists and winner of the Mr. and Miss Basketball Award for each classification. You may submit the names of up to three players in each classification for the awards. It is not necessary to vote for three players in each category, but that is your option. And, please, consider the statewide aspect of this voting process. In order for my ballot to be counted in the selection process, it must be received in the TSSAA office no later than noon on FEBRUARY 9. Therefore, please make your recommendations soon. Negative putdowns will not be appreciated.
drama4yomama
DeMario Williams has shown consistent play and does the things that need to be done to lead the Warriors to victory. He deserves Class A Mr. Basketball. He is a true class act that represents the state of TN in a fine manner
