QUOTE(backinthaoc @ Mar 15 2007 - 08:31 AM) 826412714Then you must be pretty stoked about not having to face Liberty.....

Congrats to White House.....The team played as hard as they could..The big man played with a lot of heart...Kept it much closer that I ever thought they would....I saw them twice in December and they were not impressive, but you guys must have really improved since then.....

Not really. You always want your team to go one more game even if it would be against Liberty.

Liberty was very impressive last night. I have never seen them play before. They have a lot of talent and seem to not have to rely on one or 2 players win as some teams do. When you can sub 4 players at a time that says something. Good luck Liberty.

I just believe by reading all the post on Coach T, a lot of people under estimated WH. For instance people posting WH did not have a chance against DC and DC would have no prblem beating them because of the loss they had to UC in December. DC did beat them but definately had a problem doing it. WH out played for 3 and a half quaters but unfortunately gave it up in the end when it counted. I would still like to see the video of the last shot and when the buzzer went off. It was close and the ref's sure ran out quick after the one made the call. Makes you think. I know there isn't anything that will or can be done, so there is always next year. WH has come a long way in ther b-ball program. Keep it going BIG BLUE.

QUOTE(No1ScoresOnMe @ Mar 15 2007 - 01:11 AM) 826412498They shut Gaines down? WHAT game were you watching? The only reason WH lost is because they quit going to Gaines near the end. He was literally an instant two points every time they passed him the ball. It was quite funny watching the Dyer County players try to guard him, though, jumping up and down, flailing their arms helplessly while Gaines merely grunted and dropped the ball in the bucket. All in all, Dyer County never got control of this game until the last four or five minutes of it, and even then they never got total control until the final (controversial, cough, cough)bucket, which is why it was such a thrilling game to watch. But for all those people that were blabbering that DC was just gonna walk away with this one, learn to have a little respect for WH. The team did dominate DC for about 3 and a half quarters...

Congrats on an excellent season, White House. You have nothing to be ashamed of, and all of these Dyer fans gloating that you're sitting home will be joining you in a couple of days after they are steamrolled by Liberty...

This is a very ignorant post.... Maybe WH should think about getting a new coach, because if the WH coach decided that Gaines was doing to much damage so he would let him just rest on the block and not give him the ball rather than finishing the game that WH "dominated" maybe he isnt fit to be a coach. IF the Coach would have let Gaines put up his "easy two points" every time he touched it this game shouldnt have been close, and WH should be the team that is going to get dominated by LT and not DC. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

I'm not saying that the DC defense didn't have an effect on them getting the ball to Gaines, but the only people who are saying that DC "shut him down" and that "Gaines was a non-factor" are the people who were obviously paying attention to neither the game nor the stats.

I do admit, though, that it would be far more interesting watching Gaines match up against Liberty than watching any of the DC players do so. Not to say that WH would have stood a better chance by any means, but I was kinda hoping to see one of the Liberty players try to dunk it over Gaines... /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Oh, and pardon me for the "ignorant" post in wanting to congratulate WH on a good season...

QUOTE(BDP_FAN @ Mar 15 2007 - 07:56 AM) 826412578Great game White House. Be very proud of what you've accomplished this year. There were many doubters throughout the season, just like there were a bunch thinking you couldn't stay on the floor with a mighty Dyer Co. team. Well, you've proved them all wrong. Keep your heads up cause you took it to them and never backed down.

I've watched the replay of the last shot about 10 times and I think it was out of the shooters hands prior to the light on the backboard coming on. It was very close and it took watching it that many times to decide it was gone.

As far as shutting Gaines down, DC people that say that weren't watching the same game I watched. If you call a double/double by "Big Daddy" being shut down, then you have an obscured view my friends. As far as the DC players having a bad shooting night, give White House some credit there too. It might have had something to do with the defense of WH.

Good luck Dyer Co. Friday night, but I'm afraid you'll need much more than luck to stay on the floor with Liberty after what I saw last night.....

Good post. I thought 00 played his "rear" off last night. He never came out of the game.

Tough loss....but a great season.

Congratulations.

You answered what I said was ignorant, so I dont understand why you would say that I was calling you ignorant for congratulating your team?? I think that WH would have a better chance than DC, because of height, but Gaines would still get dunked on. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

I think I just read where someone watched the replay 10 times and came to the conclusion the ball had left his hand.

QUOTE(FOOTBALLFAN1960 @ Mar 15 2007 - 02:27 AM) 826412505trying to gaurd him??? one Choctaw shut him down in second half = a non-factor complete second half..if he was an instant two points why quit going to him?? better ask your coach, players not me. game in context was usual Choctaw game keeping opp within their sight== Choctaw Pressure -D forced yall out of the game Then puttin you OUT at 5 minute mark 4th qt .All WHITE HOUSE should be proud of your team for a great season as presumably we will be Proud of our Choctaws after fridays game as most would have us beleive ?? /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

gaines was wore out at the end as were white house's guards.they played only one sub all night. that was the big key in this game. gaines couldnt get position in the last 2 minutes of the game for the guards to get him the ball because he was to tired to spread that big body out and get position down low. white house has 7 juniors returning next year and very good freshman and sophmores coming up. so watch out next year AA.
