If we're talking strictly high school career, I'd say that Troy Fleming, Joe Longmire, and Ralph King be up there pretty high.

 

As far as the best overall career, I'd say without question Reggie White.

Without a doubt Reggie White. Corey Flemming was awesome in highschool, UT and in the AFL. Great person too.

Doug Atkins from West TN. Played at UT, then on to the NFL. Legend has it he was an animal.

Jason Witten is still playing and racking up catches & yards. And has become a great blocker. Witten will be all time top 2 or 3 best from Tennessee.

I nominate Steve Spurrier. Won the Hiesman trophy at Florida. His coaching career is his later claim to fame, but he was a heck of a hs and college player.
