We had a great last practice/walk-through. A lot of focus and energy. The seniors showed some real leadership and have done something special for the team. Tomorrow will be a great day win or lose

If my mind is still working right this close to game time, I believe that exactly none of this team of young Pirates has every played in a Blue Cross Bowl either. I don't know why you SP people think we won't be in the game - it's like I said last night you don't get to this game by not bringing your best. It may be the other way around. It's Cranking here too...pep rally / bonfire at 7 PM ...the town will turn out when the team bus goes through in the morning. We even have the honor of a police escort by Officer Slick Rick all the way to the Boro. Both towns need to take it all in and enjoy. Times like these don't come often enough.

 

 

You got that right buddy; I was fortunate enough to play in and win a state championship game and it is something that I still cherish to this day. The only bad thing is that 1 team has to lose which really stinks b/c both teams accomplished alot and deserve to go out on a winning note. Good luck to both teams and soak every bit of this up while it last.....

I hope all travel safely to the game tomorrow. Hoping for a injury free game for both teams. I know there are going to be some sore bodies cause I forsee a hard hitting game for both teams. Hope all have a wonderful pep rally and bonfire. Play hard, hit hard, and REBELS will be bringing home some hardware. Rebels roll on over those Pirates. Send their ships home with torn sails. I hope that after tomorrow some of these SP peps have a little more respect for us McKenzie folks and don't assume we are just going to stand there and let those Pirates just take the game away. BTW...Since you mentioned Bama that reminded me I need to to tell ya'll about my "haircut". In 92 when Bama went to the Sugar Bowl and demolished Miami to win the National Championship I went and had an "A" cut in each side of my hair and painted it crimson before the game. Well not being one to risk putting a hex on the Pirates I am now sporting a "Power P" on each side of my head that will be orange tomorrow. Go Pirates !!!!
