No need to send the wishful memories to Gibson Co. for the upset of the decade that just happened a few years ago! I got faith in McMillan and Russell this year that they will take us as far as they think we should go! This is the year!!!!!!

ocrebel21
Well, Obion Central plays in the Point Guard Classic in Huntingdon this week. Do we have any thoughts on this game?
GCPioneer
Who all is competing in that tournament?
Guest nwtnsports
Who all is competing in that tournament? Girls - Gleason, Bruceton, Obion Co. Central, Henry Co., Camden, West Carroll, Riverside, Stewart Co., Huntingdon, Camden, and Collinwood The Lady Rebels take on Henry Co. on Thursday and Collinwood on Saturday. Henry Co. is 9-1, with their loss coming to Westview (58-51) on Nov. 27. They also lost to Milan (59-46) and Bradford (61-56) in Hall of Fame games. Collinwood is 9-2, with losses to Forrest and Richland last week. I think Obion will go 2-0, but it should be a good game against the Trojanettes and MTSU signee Abby Andrews on Saturday night. GCPioneer
I agree. I think Obion will probably make easy work of Henry Co. despite their 9-1 record. Collinwood on the other hand might give Obion Co. a pretty good game but I don't see OC losing that one. Dyer Co. should beat USJ. Dyer Co. played with Gibson Co. and Gibson Co. demoralized USJ 64-16. Dyersburg and Covington might turn out to be a great game as well. Most years Covington has great team speed and only one or two real good athletes which is about like this years Dyersburg team. Gibson Co. and Trenton might start off good but I think GC pulls away in the end. Gibson Co. beat them last time 56-50 but we held anywhere from a 12-20 point lead throughout the whole game. GCPioneer
Like I said, Gibson Co. and Trenton will be close and be a blowout in the end. It was a pretty close game at the half and Gibson Co. went on a 17-3 run in the third. We defeated Trenton tonight 59-40. Play against the winner of Milan/Bradford in the Finals of the GC Christmas Tourny Saturday.
redbirdfan
OC Lady Rebels defeated Henry Co. 71-41 at the Huntingdon Point Guard Christmas Classic. Sophomore sensation Chassidy Fussell led the way with a career high 35 points and last year's Miss Basketball Finalist Jana Roney added 13. The Lady Rebs broke open a 29-16 halftime lead with a 42-25 2nd half to pick up their 11th win in 12 games. /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" /> From 2 point range . Obion Central shot around 82% as they had many steals that led to transition baskets. OC will take on Collinwood in the final game on Saturday evening at the Huntingdon Point Guard Christams Classic.
