Crockett Co. 4-7,0-4 Crockett played Trinity Christian this morning at 10 (anyone have a score) What a District! Only 1 team with a losing recored and 3 teams with only 1 loss. Easily the best District in the state this year. I do believe the gold will be coming back to one of these teams in District 13AA this year! GCPioneer
Gibson Co. will take on Milan in the Finals of the GC Christmas Tournament tomorrow as Milan pounded Bradford tonight. If Gibson Co. plays like they have been lately, I see us beating this Milan team by about 15 or 16 points. Crockett Co. defeated Trinity Christian 61-41. Anybody from the Dyersburg Christmas Tourny or anyone from the Martin Lions Club Tourny have any scores?

GCPioneer
I see Westview defeated Adamsville 66-51. Everyone from 13AA seems to be doing well in these Christmas Tournaments. Big game tonight will be Milan and Gibson Co. for the championship. Obion Co. has a pretty tough game with Collinwood. I'll be back later tonight with a thought on the Milan/GC game. ocrebel21
On the scoreboard, it has Obion Central defeating Collinwood. Is that true?
sls
Congrats to GC on the GC Chritmas tourney championship. Other than that , it didn't really mean a lot. Friday will have more meaning. And unless Milan or GC, beats OC neither game in the reg season won't mean much.
GCPioneer
sls, Gibson Co. defeated Obion Co. already 65-49. Tonights game was great. Heather Griffin (Sophomore post) had 20 points. Chantel Poston got her points as she dropped in 15. Gibson Co. controlled the first half and got out to about a 10 point lead in the first but it shrank down. The second half was back and forth and finally Gibson Co. pulled it off in the end. Gray's three point shot at the buzzard almost fell in too! Friday's game will be a good game again. Gibson Co. played man tonight with Brittney Garner doing a pretty good job with Poston considering the heigth difference. IMO the speed for both teams was about the same. Heather Butler and Jeniqua Jennings were just as fast as Poston and Gray. All in all it made for a great Christmas tournament and can't wait for Friday's game! This was tournamnet atmosphere. Most teams would kill to be able to play in front of a crowd of 2500 people in a high school gym. I think these two, Milan and Gibson County will battle it out for first place in the district this year. Gibson County will be good this year and with Butler and Griffin only sophmores...who knows waht will happen in the future. They definiatley have the best coaching staff in the state. Go Gibson County.
7Awatcher
What a game! This was tournamnet atmosphere. Most teams would kill to be able to play in front of a crowd of 2500 people in a high school gym. That is one thing that really stands out in my visits to 13AA, the crowd of fans from both teams and student involvment. Even though we have a little hardware over here in 7A & 7AA, I am envious of the non player participation in 13AA /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
