It would be a interesting match up of Speed but I think depth would get South Pitt in the end. It would be a good game.

Glad it wasn't a South Pitt player or coach. South Pitt is a good 1A team and they would make the 2A playoffs and maybe make a wave but Mckenzie is no Alcoa or Maryville. Alcoa may have an open spot on the schedule though. Seriously South Pitt should be very happy about what they accomplished and I hope they dominate their class the next few years unless Greenback can do something and give me a local team to cheer for (Doubtful).

I really hope the players don't let it get to their heads the way it has for some fans. There is a line between pride and foolishness. A big fat glow in the dark line. South Pitt should have pride but some have crossed the line into foolishness when it comes to Maryville. I also believe Alcoa would put them out quickly.

They shouldn't get too crazy about saying they'd like to play Alcoa...it's going to be a new year and a new team next year. Don't know how many seniors are on SP's team this year, but Alcoa's going to come out stronger next year. Don't think they'd be able to keep up with AHS, much less Maryville!

Guys, I'm from South Pittsburg and in no way would I say that. We had a talented team this year that could play with many teams in the state in many of the classification. However, we couldn't play with all teams in all of those classifications. As for Maryville, I would like to think that we could play with them but I have to admit that it wouldn't happen. They are too big and too deep.
