i never want to hear another word about jake peterson he helped his shooting percentage going 100% from the field tonight (0-0) and had about 4 turnovers 0 assists maybe 1 rebound and got burned by whoever he guarded outside..... and all this in a half

anyway that was just bothering me but Coach Pierce of FRA has done great with the talent and size of the school he works with tip of the hat to him

KYLE REEVES ALL-DISTRICT? Someone like to explain how that happened is there no one else more worthy? (caleb simpson, jordan hawbaker, wayne cox) haha anyone really

First of all, you are pathetic. Calling out our senior starters makes you look like the fool you are. You must feel great about yourself.

First, Jake Peterson has been knocking down big shots all season, most from 10 to 12 feet out. At one time he was 12 of 14. He's also a major force as a rebounder and defender. And I believe Jake is the only other player on the CPA team that has dunked in a games this year. And...he is a starter on the DISTRICT CHAMPION CPA Lions. Undefeated in the state of TN.

Congrats to Reeves for his All-District bid. Reeves is likely the assists leader spending a lot of time setting up Z, Miller, & Anderson every night. He has a spin move that has yet to be stopped and most of the time a 3 at a critical moment. And, in spite of playing on a team where at least 65 points a night come from Z, Miller, and Anderson, he closed out the regular season with four straight games in double figures. And...he is a starter on the DISTRICT CHAMPION CPA Lions. Undefeated in the state of TN.

Of course this is not to say that there are not other players that deserved to make this list. But, might I remind you that ALL of the coaches select the All-District and All-Tournament teams. Frankly, if you consider what CPA has done this year, all five starters deserved to be All District. I send out a congrats to all the players, from all the teams who leave it all on the floor every night. Win or lose.

"I have to say that I loved the passion of the fans both CPA and DL but I thought that Mr. blabla who slid on the court was very idiotic. That WAS classless. Or maybe just stupid and not funny. The CPA fans weren't classless. That one fan was."

Hmm. OK, let me get this straight:

CPA students booing cheerleaders - classy.

CPA student yelling at cheerleader who just finished back handsprings "you s*ck at back handsprings" - classy.

CPA players, as Coach Pierce was walking behind them to accept his award, shrugging their shoulders and pointing at Maddux saying he should have won - classy.

Wow. And all these years I've been thinking class was something totally different....

CPA students booing cheerleader- just like DL students

CPA student yelling at cheerleader who just finished back handsprings "you s*ck at back handsprings" -compared to "Z hook me up" and "Anderson quit crying you p**sy" by DL students in the previous game. there are two sides to every story.

CPA players, as Coach Pierce was walking behind them to accept his award, shrugging their shoulders and pointing at Maddux saying he should have won- accurate. and Pierce knows it.

It's a rivalry, and with that comes heated competition and bad blood. And that's part of the fun, isn't it? I don't know of any school whose students I would classify as "classy." Teenagers will be teenagers. Hopefully you can handle that.

What a silly post. Let's please not get into whose students did what. I understand that you are upset that your team lost the game but let's not start this sillyness!

I for one am proud of CPA's fans and students. The crowd was absolutely one of the best I've ever seen at a CPA game, 2nd only to the previous DL game. This is a huge rivalry and I think both schools students acted the only way they know how. Think about it this way, had this been a public school like the one I went to, the chant at the end would have been a lot worse than "You can't beat us"!

Lipscomb fans did as well.

Congrats to Pierce but Maddox deserved it. Thats what CPA thought so we were just letting our opinion be known.

I'm not sure what games you've been watching this year. First, Peterson blocked three shots last night. Second, he got a couple of key rebounds. Third, he doesn't score because Coach runs no plays for him. Fourth, he got slammed to the floor last night after one of his blocks by the Bill Laimbeer of high school basketball - the dirty #24 for DL - and had to sit out the game - did you hear his head hit the floor? Everyone else did. Nice classless remark.

I didn't see Z's goaltending on Simpson's putback, but what I did see was the classlessness of CPA's fans and players.

Each team's cheerleader's were competing against the other squad on each timeout or quarter change. It was fun to watch each section storm in applause after each stunt... but then a CPA father ran out on the court and slid on his stomach and posed. It was completely disgraceful. The Tournament coordinator and police attempted to find the man but failed because he hid in with the other CPA fans. That's just what I'd want to show as a parent, how to do something stupid and not get caught, what a great role model.

CPA has a team full of great players, no doubt. But you don't need to yank out your jersey and yell and pound your chest when you win... even in a game of that magnitude and under those circumstances. Be classy, show respect for the other team, they pushed you to the edge and you narrowly escaped. It was a great win, but a great game for both teams.

Nonetheless, it was the second greatest basketball game I had ever seen and I'm glad I made it out there to witness it.

Lipscomb Cheerleader flips across floor to midcourt during a timeout. Then CPA Cheerleader, not to be outdone, flips all the way down the court/full court. Then next time out, Lipscomb STUDENT comes out of stands and does some fancy flip, then CPA STUDENT comes out of stands and does same thing. SO Lipscomb started all that. Then the CPA dads does the old beached whale slide on the floor - and I am sure hs is asking himself today "why did I do that".

It was a very heated atmosphere and is a heated rivalry, so some things are going to happen that are funny, appropriate, bordering on classless, and inappropriate. Let's face it, both schools are filled with people who recognize appropriate actions, and a few that do not. Despite all that was said or done, there was no violence, which in this day and age is not a given, so let's be thankful for that.

Really, IMO, the thing that started it all was the Lipscomb point guard mocking the CPA cheering section while he was holding the ball near 1/2 court in the stall. Kind of unusual for a player on the floor to get involved in the crowd, but I thought he was kind of funny, and didn't think bad of it. He certainly played a great game running the spread offense, and gave Lipscomb a chance to win.

Bottom line, they had 4-5 chances to make big shots at the end of periods and didn't do it. CPA scored when they had to and Lipscomb didn't, so CPA won.

okay let's not go that far. As much as I hate CPA I dont think they're fans were that classless, maybe dumb but not classless. but I am ecstatic that CPA will have to pay that fine for rushing the court.

Oh and whoever earlier in the thread said that Petersen was a great player, he had a horrid game tonight. I dont think he took one shot (maybe that's why he has such a great shooting %). I think he got burned about 4 or 5 times. Lipscomb outcoached and outplayed CPA tonight and truly deserved that win.

"Classy" post

because its against CPA your not aloud to hurt the "future state champs" they need to proceed unscathed all the way to Murfreesboro.... to even challenge this team is uncalled for

the lions have no bench AT ALL and this is a known fact that cant be denied... this will hurt in the tourney when injury or foul trouble comes around (and before you say it.. Yes i realize Peterson was out for the whole 2nd half, but once again he isnt much of a factor)
