Clint Satterfield Set to Resign

The Tennessean reported today that Coach Satterfield has been named Trousdale County Director of Schools.

As soon as his contract is signed...he will step down as head football coach. His absence will leave a big void in Tennessee high school football.

This has been in the works for a long time. It is going to happen.

This puts Coach Satterfield in the rare position to pretty much name his replacement. The person who follows Clint will have a tough job. No one will pour the effort into the job that he did.

Wow, that is huge. I hate to see him leaving the football landscape. Someone is going to have some BIG shoes to fill but whoever it is will have a very talented group playing for him.

I know TC has some young talent for next year, but how different do folks think things will be? Expectations run high there, but alot of it was because of the coach and his proven ability. Good luck to them.

Old Pirate says this is a sad post. The SP nation has come to respect TC and their coach. OP says who ever takes this job will inherit a quality program. That said, the incoming coach will be under the microscope and will certainly have huge shoes to fill. Old Pirate says Good Luck the our friends in TC during this transfer of leadership.
