im sure siegel will get at least one new person. kids love to go there cause they have a good program, THEIR KIDS GO TO COLLEGE, and they get all the nicest stuff. why wouldnt you want to go to siegel if you were a good ball player? siegel doesnt have to recruit...the kids come to them. and by the way..who exactly has siegel recruited?

WOW a classic post!!! you are talking about how good the middle school is LOL!!! i dont have anything else to say.

The last time White County was buzzing about their middle school team there was a team in the 90's that went undefeated and nobody could get within 20 to 30 points of. The main players on that team were Jolly, Austin, Gribble, Mitchell{ring a bell?} who went on to win the state back to back in 98 and 99. There was an undefeated team at the middle school this year as well that nobody got close to this season. They will be in high school before you know it. Believe me if there is a buzz here in White County about a middle school team other teams better look out in the near future. I will mention none of their names.................................................yet. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> One is a cousin to a Siegel player though. /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

warrior, actually, the last time people were talking middle school in White county was when your seniors from last year were back there. I dont know how many times i heard they were the next state champions, didnt pan out but they were pretty good.

As for home court, sorry siegel, White County's is the best (taking into account over the years loyalty by fans). And i'd say oaklands is as good as siegels, IMO. Both are very good

ah, siegel. . . . doesn't recruit? i'll just laugh at that statement along with everybody else on this board and let you get back on here and tell us all again how you are right and everyone else is wrong.

Actually there wasn't that much buzz about last years seniors that I heard. Delaney was doing well, but Josh Brown and Tyler Greene didn't really blossom and get recognition until they were juniors. Anyway, we have some good players on the way. Esp. the 6th grade team.

Talking about 6th graders may seem unusual to Boro fans, but we know what high school our middle school players will attend.

Riverdale beat Blackman. Another good game by Craig.

Whew, do I feel bad for teams in 7AAA. They bust their tails every week and have to put up with awful officiating. Riverdale and Blackman were the prey of MANY many bad calls tonight, the worst officiating crew I've seen watching High School Basketball. In no ways did this affect the outcome of the game, as amazingly dreadful calls went against Blackman and Riverdale. QUIT CALLING WHAT YOU THINK HAPPENED! ONLY CALL WHAT YOU SEE. IF YOU DON'T HAVE AN ANGLE, BUT IT LOOKS LIKE SOMEONE GOT BUMPED, DON'T CALL IT. They blew the whistle anytime anyone played good defense...sick of it.

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
