As a Hickman County fan I would love nothing more than to beat Lewis County this coming Friday Night. Before this past Friday, I believed that we, the Bulldogs, had a 50/50 chance of beating Lewis County. However, a fairly major thing happened this past Friday night at East Robertson; all-state RB Scott Sowell left the game and the field with what appeared to be an injury to his hamstring. If Sowell is not able to go this coming Friday night, Hickman County's chance to win takes a significant hit. I'm not saying that Hickman can't win without Sowell on the field, but players like Sowell don't come around that often.

Some advice for those who will be attending this Friday night??™s game: Arrive early; this may be one of the largest crowds you ever see for a High School football game. We are talking about two towns that absolutely love their football teams. No doubt about it the Region Championship will be decided on Friday night.

GO DAWGS

Bulldogs will be run back on the porch where the small dogs belong.PANTHERS will dominate the line of scrimage and that is where it counts.

Radio don't give anybody anything to be fired up about. They dislike us enough already, but I do appreciate your love for those panthers. Remember, ONCE A PANTHER, ALWAYS A PANTHER!

Lewis Co. in a close, high scoring afair

I dont think there will be many scores at all.I take my LEWIS CO. PANTHERS 21-7 in this one, purely because they will come out hard and quick, and will out power and out intensify the Bulldogs.Thats just how I see it. anyone can have pride.BUT ONLY PANTHERS HAVE PANTHER PRIDE!!!!

im sorry....let me type s l o w l y so you can understand.....you see, a wet field would be to YOUR team's advantage, not ours....a wet field would benefit the big, slow guys (you), not the smaller, fast guys (us).....I guess you had a grand time sitting at home looking at your pretty gold ball last year while we were still playing in the playoffs....oh and by the way, if we decided to water down the field, could you come show us how? yal seem to be an expert in that area /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Hahahahaha, I love it. It rains on the night before the game and we get accused of wetting the field. I guess Coach Sharp has divine powers and is really close friends with the big guy upstairs! Bottom line, bottom line - you beat us last year when it counted, the gold region ball meant nothing at that point. You deserve credit for that and noone can take that away from you. HOWEVER, its a new year and two new teams, I know there are alot of returning starters on both sides, but its new teams. I believe the Panthers will be ready for the Bulldawgs this time and the game will be a toss up. Big play here or there will probably decide it. All I KNOW FOR SURE is I wish it was Friday now!! Go Panthers!!!!!

P.S. The forecast is calling for rain Thursday - Coach Sharp must be praying hard!!!! haha

    • Yes this process is moving slower than I would have expected
    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
    • stop it, rlh. you’re gonna get me all misty eyed and sentimental.    i see seven fairly regularly. ….but slim shady, that’s like spotting bigfoot on main street. you just hope he doesn’t spot you.
    • Are you trying to say you didn't find Seven and ShadySlim going at it?
