Centennial @ Gallatin

This is an interesting game. And I hate to assume anything before playing a region 6 team, but if Centennial's defense isn't phenomenal, then it could be a long night for them. Because Gallatin will make plays, and not every one of CHS's drives will consist of a big play. Contrarily, Gallatin will likely have several long sustained drives. And Gallatin will make plays on defense. Granted, a big play will be given up every once in a while. I'm actually not incredibly worried about the CHS quarterback. One good thing about being in region 5 is that we see a barrage of wildly mobile qb's all year. Gallatin lb's will stay at home and make plays. I do expect this one to be a high scoring affair, but if Centennial is as one person said earlier "suspect" when it comes to discipline..... Then this will look very similar to the Gallatin/Antioch game. Their qb made RIDICULOUS scrambles, but Gallatin's defense only broke once giving up a big play. By the way, I believe this is the first time all year that the Green Wave offense hasn't scored 30 or more points in 2 consecutive games. These guys are scoring machines, and they'll be back on track this week. The Holder/Matthews duo will have 300 all purpose yards and 4 td's in this game. Gallatin wins 35-24.

Trust me antoch speed not like chs at all,all of chs o is loadedwith speed and unlike antioch hunt lane they chs play disiplined ball

I just don't understand why CHS does not use Drew more. he should have the ball 20 times a game. his touchdown to catch ratio has to be unreal. he touched the ball twice last week. get it to him, quick slants, hitches, stops, put him at H and throw him a bubble. put him at QB and just let him run. that was an incredible sight the other night seeing him make Starnes and the whole rest of the secondary look like little boys. get him the ball.

I will be the first to admit that I follow 6-5A football first and foremost, but over the past few weeks (as the play-offs have loomed closer) I have been catching up on the predominant 6-5A teams. And I have made a few observations in comparison...

Gallatin plays teams with speed at the skill positions all year long, Centennial needs to realize that Gallatin plays in a speed-oriented region. They played a team a few weeks ago that is vary similar to CHS in Hunter's Lane. And they figured out the key to dismantling teams of that nature, which is...running the ball between the tackles, because this neutralizes the speed on the outside. CHS should be used to that because it is exactly how Franklin destroyed them in the second half.

All other Factors aside, this game comes down to one thing for both sides...Hard-nosed-old-style-football

ITS GUT-CHECK TIME!!!

Plus fhs has one of the best one two punch in the backfield lee and ford however does not matter if startin at midfield or not the d didn't stand up at all

I really think last one with ball wins

I was immensely impressed with Franklin's running game. Their O-Line did a phenomenal job opening holes, and Ford (in particular) was just a beast to stop.

I know very little about Centennial; however, if they have a hard time stopping the run, then Gallatin will have their way with the Cougar defense. Gallatin will pound the rock from the shotgun all night until you disrespect the pass then throw right over the cheating linebackers' head for 30+ yards.

Scales may have unmatched speed, but Gallatin plays teams week in and week out that have track star backs and suspect defenses. I wouldn't underestimate the Green Wave in this one.

I agree...I would put Franklins O-Line at one of the best i have seen..They peeled back holes in all the games I have watched. Very Very Impressive.

Back to Centennial and Gallatin.. I have only seen a couple of games of Gallatins, but I think this will be a hard fought game. chaz needs to realize the strengths he has and quit trying to do it all by himself...

DREW, Tony, Ray-Mond......

Dont underestimate Gallatin. If CHS cannot stop the run it will be a long night because will just pound and pound and you will play catch up with the clock running. And like stated if you bring 8 and then 9 into the box The Gallatin QB is way underrated as a passer and will throw it right over your heads for a long TD. Good luck to both teams but from what I am hearing you have to have a defense that can stop the run to win in the playoffs. I give the edge to Gallatin something like 24-14.

Two questions about Gallatin...

Just how big is number 78? He looks massive and is number 9 the QB? I heard he is quite the athlete.
