I had to laugh about a post earlier that suggested Maryville would bounce back from this loss. Maybe it's the terminology....I think of bouncing back from a 3-7 season. When you're 74-1 over your last 75 games, my guess is your program's on a pretty solid footing.

 

Truly an impressive run by Maryville, and congrats to Hillsboro.

A couple of people have mentioned what a great game #53 played for Hillsboro. That's Marvin Hughes and he's been a force on defense for the Burros all year. But he really stepped up and played his best game in the biggest game of the year tonight. Maryville really had no answer for him and he made plays all over the field. He's a great kid and he had a big hand in this great win. Congratulations to Marvin, and to all the Burros on a great team effort and a truly historic win.

Congratulations to both teams. Great run Maryville! I am guessing that record will never be broken. Also guessing that Alcoa's record won't be broken either............except next year, and the year after that and the year after that...............................by ALCOA!!!!
