LA vs Tyner for trip to the borro

This should be another great game for Livingston Academy. We had the gym packed last night and I am sure it will be even more crowded tomorrow night. Expect to hear the famous H-O-G E-Y-E chant all night long.

Looks like it will be 2 years in a row in the boro for LA and I don't expect them to come home early this time.

I certainly hope that not many people are expecting this game to be easy! Just because it is at LA and Tyner has lost seven games is no reason to celebrate just yet. Anyone who has checked their schedule will see that 6 of those 7 loses came to a couple of the states best so this won't be no picnic. LA will have to stay focused and bring their "A" game to advance--which I believe they will, but it will not be easy. Can't wait to see another great game.

Just because a couple of us proud fans like to look ahead sometimes doesn't mean that the LA players are doing the same. Even if fans overlook a team, I highly doubt it will affect the outcome of the game. Coach Melton is going to have his team ready every night. I doubt they look at CoachT and say "well, looks like we are suppose to win this one, we can take it easy at practice this week". /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

I agree with you though. This game will not be easy by any means. Once you get to this point in the season what game is easy? I just know that the Wildcats will refuse to lose and will head back to the Boro. Nothing wrong with a little confidence. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

Agreed....Region 3 is tough every year. Chattanooga is full of athletes. LA is too this year. I think it will be a great game...And I would like to believe with home court and HOG-EYE tilll the cows come home that our boys will indeed win this game!

GO HOG-EYE!!!

...I'm sure LA had a scout at the Region 3AA Championship game between Tyner & Brainerd...just as we had a scout at the Region 4AA Championship game...I don't know anything about LA but we will find out soon enough...I'm not going to give any scouting reports here on CoachT, but I do know that any team is capable of winning when they get to this stage of the playoffs...

...Get ready for the "RAMS" and Coach Gerald Harris!!!

Coach Harris...seems like I remember him playing for Tyner or somewhere in the Chattanooga area. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Or seems like Siegel had a coach named Harris ???

Gates open at 5 so if you want backed seat I would highly recommend getting there before 6. I have friends that are going to try to save me a couple, but I'm prepared to be sitting 'backless'.

Should be a very good game...and very loud!

Back or no back I think we will be standing for most of this one. Better have a pair of ear plugs if loud noises bother you. We have the Hogeye Clap and cheer about perfected. We will be the loudest gym in the state tonight. The boys have the bar set high esp. with their new #1 Ranking. Its going to be a good one. Im EXCITED. GO LA WILDCATS- LEAVE NO DOUBT

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
