They really do not know much about Alcoa though some profess to.

I will say this, If they only have 44 kids and one of their go to guys is a coach's son that is a SO. (TE #14) It may be a long night on Log Mountain!

I look for the F5 to roll pretty easily in this one.

APB if 'un ewe and Bee Cee here enny dueling banjers run!!!!!!......... :thumb:

I waz just think'n about that............No worries........I'm just going to try and out run APB off that thur mountain! :)

What class did Bell County, Ky. play in last they were 15-0 so i persume they won the State Championship in their class. Nobody knows me from Alcoa but i would like to say what a great program that Alcoa has. I am from Gibson County, no not from Milan and i am glad u all beat them cocky and self center Dogs. I respect Milan for having a great program every year but i will say this i can't stand them. I know this thread is not about Milan. The fans in Milan have already got them in the Championship game and the season is about a month away. Outside of Milan in this county not many people care for them. They may be counting their chickens before they hatched. I hope if u all play them in a rematch u bury them! Alcoa fans probably think i'm crazy pulling against them. But if u ask most sports fan in this county they would tell u the same thing. They are 2 or 3 teams on their schedule this year that will be much better. The road will be much tougher for the Dogs than they think. I will sign off and hope Alcoa has a great season!! They also think that Gilbert so call great running back will go D-1 hate to dissapoint but it ain't going to happen!! :)

If any of you post on the bluegrassrivals site, also put in Brandon Warren as a former alumni that has recently graduated over the past couple of years. I saw where the 1 guy has put Sykes, Lanxter, and Cobb and somehow forgot about Warren.

Anyways, the schedule is very impressive to say the least. I find it quite funny that people from the state of KY are even picking Alcoa to beat up on Bell Co., lol. Good Luck to the Tornadoes this season and hope you guys have a good injury free season!

zebra, you're the only one in this area to call Milan cocky. Yes, I'm from Gibson Co. too. No one over here at GC claims Milan as cocky fans. Your post are very unintelligent as you were also the one to call Henry Co. overrated last year. To say Jobronski is not D1 is ignorant. Just ask Lane or Monte if they think he's D1. I'm pretty sure they've had words with him as well as Williamson.

I know this isn't what the thread is about and I won't post nothing more about Milan or GC on this thread. Sorry and once again good luck to Alcoa this season!

Here are the results for Bell County in 2008. Not knowing the level of competition, it is kind of difficult to determine how impressive the scores are.

The only Tennessee team on their schedule was Volunteer, which finished 2-8 last year in a fairly decent 4A region that included Greeneville, Morristown East, and Morristown West. Volunteer's wins were over 0-10 Cocke County and 2-8 David Crockett. Their 52-7 loss to Bell County is hard to gauge.

Bell County's last three playoff games were close wins over

9-3 Knox Central

13-0 Boyle County

9-5 Bullitt East

Bottom line: who knows how good they are?

Given that Alcoa manhandled 2004 Kentucky 3A semifinalist Hopkinsville 37-6 in the first game of the 2005 season, I tend to believe the Tornadoes will win this one, too.

is alcoa gettin ready for bell?everyone up in this area especially over in kentucky thinks that bell is gonna handle alcoa no problem, that they could beat pretty much anyone in tenn, they think they r bigger, stronger and faster and just overall tougher than alcoa,i talked to a kid the other day that plays for bell and he said alcoa didnt impress him at all.please alcoa, prove them wrong...in hard and physical way :roflol:

I actually like the fact that Bell County thinks their going to handle us. There is one thing for sure, they have never seen the speed that Alcoa will throw at them this year. Does anyone know how many starter Bell Co return from their team last year?

Alcoa will beat Bell County like a rented mule.....plain and simple.

Bell Co. lost a lot of seniors after last years season. Plus, Alcoa has too much speed for them. Bell County would have to pound the ball out on the ground and own the time of possesion to beat Alcoa, but I don't think that will happen. Alcoa is too strong for them. Tornadoes by 3 touchdowns.

    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
