Bulldog Fan #2
Looks like the Flu Bug has hit Milan hard late in the week This isn't good and it will be a tough challenge for the Dawgs to have to overcome. Yes, we are deep but I don't know if we can keep taking bad breaks and being sucessful. Much better to happen in this part of the season than late in the year and in playoffs. For all the talk tonight about the great game it is just one game and doesn't matter in District play. Most likely both Huntingdon and Milan will auto qualify in the new system and overall record won't matter. Go Milan - Overcome!!!!!
stangfan
Mr. Mustang thanks for the compliment. We have had a few discussions about HHS football and most of the time we think a lot alike(scary huh).

Milan still has more talent on their 2nd team than most team's varsity. We've got some Calarad they can take before the game..

ritz20
this game came down to a poor coaching play. You have a great running back who can catch and a very decent QB and you throw a hb pass. That shows a lack of confidence in your playmakers. Also a weak effort by the dline in the 4th. Swenson really needs to evaluate his talent and get some confidence in his players bc that was terrible. Good job to the guys they played as well as they could and almost pulled out the upset...could have if not for coaching....

I will agree that I would have called a different play than the one Coach Swenson called. However, if the play would have worked everyone(including myself) would have been talking about how great a call it was and caught the defense offguard. Yes, Huntingdon could have won the game but didn't. The difference in the game was the 3 turnovers at the end of the 2nd quarter. Unless I missed something, Coach Swenson was not on the field during those plays. Get ready single A, Huntingdon is for real!!!!!
Stang79N79
Bad coaching? Are you serous? I would say the football on the ground 3 times lost that ballgame. Milan is as tough a team as they come. If you give up turnovers to any team they might well beat you. if you give up turnovers to Milan they darn sure are going to beat you. I was very proud of the Mustangs this week and last week. The size difference of the lines of Milan and Westview was tremendous. Huntingdon proved that they could not only play with the Dawgs but for turnovers could have beaten them. Mr. Mustang, I might need an alibi or if you know a good lawyer you might want to contact him. It seems a helicopter was appropriated from Navy special operations for a hush hush mission. If anyone asks I was with you all night. Bulldog Fan #2
Huntingdon is for real!! The Stangs will do well in their new classification this year Always good to get a big win at Paul Ward no matter how close. The turnovers killed Huntingdon for sure but man I feel like we got hosed by the officials all night long. I guess part of it was the fustration with the scoreboard. Hopefully they can get that thing fixed for the rest of the season. The bottom line is Huntingdon will be tough for ANY team they play this year and they stand a great chance to make the deep November run. hufstedler02
This was a great game. It was even better than I thought it would be. To the Huntingdon fans that did not like the last offensive play you ran, the call was not necessarily a bad call. The problem was that the receiver was not wide open. The tailback has got to know that in that situation you only throw that ball if the D is completely fooled. If they are not, you have to make something with your feet. My question is why is Thompson and Holder not on the field for Defense. They were late, but you got to have those guys on the field as much as possible. If our starting QB is playing, we would have thrown on you all night. Maybe I am crazy, but when you have talent like that, they have got to be on the field. Also, one of those two has got to be returning kicks. Maybe not every time, but definitely most of the time. All that said, it was a great dog and pony show. P.S. Did Moody really punt that ball 70 yards? It looked like the snap was taken at the 25 and the ball went dead on the 5. Also, that ball had to go 55 yards in the air. It was very high too. Amazing!!! volfan007
I was at the game tonight. Huntingdon gave Milan all they wanted and then some. I agree with Stang79. The 3 crucial fumbles in the first half probably cost the Mustangs the game. My hats off to Huntingdon, though. Yall should go to the 1A championship game. Yall are the team I'm picking to make it to the game. Milan has a tremendous k/p. Some big time college ought to be calling him. That kid has a very strong leg. One of his punts went around 70 yards tonight. Also, Huntingdon, the Thompson kid, #19, is a very good RB, himself. Holder is not the only RB yall have. That kid can run. volfan007
I have to agree with Hufstedler somewhat about the Thompson and Holder not playing defense. The Mustangs secondary is the weakest link. They need the good athletes on the field on D. If yall run up on a good passing team, they will throw on yall all night.
