Merry Christmas to everybody in Region 1!!!

 

It's been awfully quiet on here...no posts since Dec. 3, and that one was apparently from someone outside of the region (by the way, bwm, South does have wrestling and they are competitive at several weight classes, especially 112 and 119).

 

So how's everybody been doing?

 

Crockett is 10-4 in duals and finished 11th (of 34) at the Indian Classic...

I know it was postponed because of the football teams success, but has there been a Steven Brimer Invitational this year?

 

Porkchop is gone and the board is awfully quiet!

Morristown West is 6-1 in duals and finished 4th at Indian Classic. Brimer duals are the 29th I believe

Why is this thread so boring this year???....How am I supposed to keep up with Region 1?....You have to pay for tricitiessports now....Surely there are some interesting duals going on.....-

Not really, its a battle for second. The Hill is head and shoulders above the rest in this area, but there are a handful of outstanding individuals scattered here and there.

Its been a battle for 2nd for going on a decade maybe longer.....just suprised noone really talks on here anymore

Regionwise, The Hill is pretty strong in all of the weight classes. SH hosts DB this Thursday so we'll see if DB has what takes to be competitive as a team in the region. The Mann brothers have allways come strong so that's a given.

From what I understand Adam Mann is out with an injury. Austin sounds strong though.

 

The meet will be a tri on Thursday including South. This is the first of 3 days at Freedom Hall. Skip Friday for a moment...

 

The 10th Annual Fandetti-Richardson Brawl is on Saturday with 17 teams representing 6 states. There will be some very tough competition with a lot of state level wrestlers involved. The girls will be wrestling as well.

 

On Friday evening, there will be a quad with SH wrestling a tough Hewitt-Trussville (AL) and Greenback. Christian Brothers will wrestle them as well (not SH - they matched up at the Cleveland duals) These teams will be in town for the Brawl.

 

Also on Friday evening (there will be 5 mats out for the Brawl on Sat) there will be an AAU event for the younger wrestlers.
