Again- from the posts I read of the last 24 hours on here , I'll go back to my previous point, the best defensive effort that's put forth will usually be the difference in games like this with such well coached competitive, talented teams. OC had a good game plan coming in, made the adjustments as the game progressed and came away with a solid performance. As for GC, the Lady Pioneers are still a solid team and a favorite to get back to the BORO and defend their state title

Tuesday night's game didn't change that perception, it just so happens that the Lady Rebels played better and deserved the win.

We're getting into a very fun time of the year in high school basketball with the season winding down and post-season tourneys starting up in a couple of weeks

OCCHS should be the place to be for the 13AA tournament as any of the 3 teams, GC,OC or Da View could come away with a District title.. I'm looking forward to the matchups and as in the case the other night, whoever comes out and plays the best will win..

I was watching the news on channel 6 after the game, and they were interviewing Chasity and Macy up close and you could see Chasity's pupil in her left eye was real large and her right eye was very small showing that it was dilated. Her Grandmother told me about it, I had recorded the news so I went back and watched it again and you could clearly see her eye. I don't know how she did as well as she did because I lost my left eye and it throwed off my depth conception. I think thats why she missed so many shots the first half and started passing off more the second half and Macy more or less took over the game and scored 28 pionts. I think they played a great game, they have been improving every game lately and I think they will be the team to beat along with Gibson Co.

Thank you GCP & Westlevee for understanding what I said. In no way was I putting OC down they played a great game & I said that. I've never said anything on here to put any team or player down, that's not something I do. I love basketball and the girls & boys that play the game and try my best to encourage them all no matter who they play for. Sorry Purple & Gold that you took what I said in wrong context but sometimes I'm better at talking than writing.

 

I understand what you said too and you are right that we probably say what we mean better in person...There is no reason to apologize for your opinion...Let me ask you a question...Do you believe that Obion Central's play was the main reason for the Lady Pioneers losing the game or was it mainly because GC played so "poorly" ??..I happen to believe that OC played out of their minds for one 32 minute stretch and caused GC's play to be not what GC fans are used to...I still think GC is the better of the two...I think they are better coached and I think in March they will be playing for that Gold Ball.... ....

 

I know the potential our girls have & I believe if they would have played to that potential (along with our great coach helping)we would have won the game. They haven't become #1 or won 55 games in a row by playing poorly. But, that doesn't take away the fact the Obion had a great game and have stepped it up but that's something we should be doing too. Going to be some rough games coming up

At the age these young ladies are it's very hard to play to your potential every night out....It's pretty obvious that GC has been doing a great job of that...55 games in a row doesn't lie...Every once in awhile even the very best teams run up against somebody that plays a great game and causes you not to be able to reach that potential...I don't know for sure but I would imagine as much as the loss hurt those Lady Pioneer players, there probably is a sense of relief as well...They should be real loose next time out and I really wouldn't want to be the team on the opposite bench from them...

You're an idiot. I'm sure they'd much rather stay at Gibson Co. and win another gold ball this year. Since Aubrey has been at GC, we're 4-1 against OC and gave them a 33 point lashing in the Region semi's last year. Expect no different this year.
