You could be right about that Batman. He seems to really dislike Clark. Something odd for someone who "says" they live in Washington Co. One thing's for sure, he really hates DB. Poor guy. Maybe he can get a job vacuming our carpet.

Boys, I know you think you know who I am but I promise you you have no idea.

By the way I have no problem with DB the school just the fans.

Well, if anyone plays football and is concerned about getting hurt, they are gonna be set up for injury. Ya just go play the game hard and at the best of your ability. If you get hurt, you get hurt. Can't step out on a football field and say . . . "oh, I better be careful and NOT get hurt". Oh, please!

Hill, the players I talked about appeared to be injured last week because they limped off the field and didn't play for the rest of the scrimmage. If they're still limping tomorrow then there's no reason for the them to go out there and risk further injury just for a meaningless jamboree. I'd rather have them healthy for actual games.

Of course THS, you never want to play ball when you are injured. And a jamboree, in my opinion isn't meaningless. Of course it doesn't count in the wins and losses column, but it is meaningful to go against someone other than your teammates. It was my experience that after 3 or 4 weeks of banging heads with teammates, you learn each others strengths, weaknesses and tendencies. And somewhat of a pecking order has been developed. Scrimmages and jamborees give opportunities to mix it up and explore new challenges on the field. Which is what you practice to do every friday night.

But, I know what you mean THS.

As the great offensive lineman, Grimm that played for the Redskins once said..."there is no greater feeling than to move your opponent from point A to point B against their will".

Good quote Hill. I think of Hall of Famer Tom Mack LA Rams 1966-1978. It's not done anymore in the NFL but he was a pulling guard at 6'-3" 250 and was very mobile. He produced devasting blocks on DE's to break his RB's free. Most lineman Dads who played line school their lineman kids of the lack of glory and to take pride in knowing they made the block that allowed their quote (Skill) unquote player to hit second gear. But it's always the Skill player who gets player of the week. Granted the line takes so much longer to develop. But in college the skill players are quickly learned in the value of their linemen. That's why it's always great to hear the RB give credit where credit is due when he is interviewed after the game.

I still see it as something more meaningful to the fans. Each team plays in 1 quarter and the quarters are on a running clock, correct? Instead of a jamboree I would be more open to a scrimmage seeing as how a team can scrimmage for a couple of hours. Tennessee will have plenty more opportunities to go against other teams because I don't think they scrimmage anyone in the spring. 24 hours after the jamboree they scrimmage the Vikings of Powell Valley and they'll have Abingdon on Tuesday. Hopefully the line will be able to move some players from point A to point B. ;)

By the way, judging by the pictures I've seen, it looks like Science Hill's new stadium is really coming along. I can't wait to see it in September.

    • So much talk about an investigation about student record manipulation and then everything has went silent. Has anyone heard how the investigation is going?
    • Basically what you're saying is schools can basically bully students around and get away with it because they are protected. I agree to a certain extent but when schools decisions to keep knuckleheads on staff starts costing kids careers and a college education there is a problem. Our school system last week had a teacher supposedly push a kid and the parents went to the law and the teacher is suspended. So I wouldn't say that they can just do what they want without liability. This case don't pass the smell test because the coach had already been fired before and she got fired after a year on the job. Sounds like the student was right in this case on the outside looking in because the coach gets fired after one year. How many coaches get fired after one year?? Not many.
    • Problem with DB football goes beyond coaching. Like Waco said. Thr band is the main focus of their community and school. They have the resources to be a championship level team. Guarantee Ballard or Witten could have them nationally relevant at some point but everyone down to peewee would have to buy in and at DB we all know that would never happen.
    • I know the RB from OR he’s fast and has good hands. Is good on special teams also. Didn’t want to play defense over to the Ridge.
