Well I am hearing a rumor right now that is not very pleasing. I hear that drugs are playing an issue and he is just trying to get out before the rumor really gets out. I hope that is not the case because he was a fun player to watch both at UT and at Maryville. Lets hope its just because he doesn't feel the coaching staff right now at Tennessee is not what he thought they would be or he doesn't like the system they are running.

i am a pretty good friend of AD, and i talk to him about it a couple days ago and he said he just isnt happy, he likes dulley, but just wasnt satisfied. i told him it was a mistake imo, but he needs to do what he feels is best for him, lets just respect that and move on. no, drugs are not part of this class02, so just keep your mouth shut ok.

Did he mention his girlfriend?

What does he not like about the new coach, specifically?

II know a lot of the same assistants were still there.

Give us the details of why.

"Just not happy" does not hold water.

Drugs are not part of ADoug's life. Not now, not ever. These rumors are started by those incapable of believing that someone just might want to leave UT. He nor his family have been happy since Fulmer was fired.

Those of us who know this young man and his family know that drugs are not possible. He will resurface at a school where he is happy. He will also be an all-pro some day. Bank on it!

Not saying he did or didnt do drugs, because I have no clue.

But you can never know, ppl who you think you would never do something go off and surprise you, it happens all the time.

    • Congratulations to Huntingdon and Station Camp. Lots of good softball in Tennessee. Alcoa been media favorite last two seasons.
    • Im more of a Basketball follower than football and like I said we play what we have, there is no going and recruiting or even talking kids into transferring…..and to rebut about Memphis teams in finals I’ve watched Memphis East and Penny Hardaway with the enrollment of a single A team play up and dominate any and all challengers for years! They aren’t the only ones either Mike Miller and son at Germantown put together that super team a couple years ago that ran through the rest of the state! Other teams from Memphis or Chatt or Nash or any large populated area pop up and are relevant out of nowhere every year because they get an influx of talent be it from a new coach or AAU affiliations it happens in football also just like any other sport! I hope these two schools that close join together and get to play the team you support, then you may see it differently! I find it funny some of you think recruiting and resources don’t matter . The county schools get very little funding also but you don’t want to get me started on that part!
    • No doubt. ORC a good dude.
    • In a total classless move, Coach Simmons once again shows his true colors. Waits till the day after school is out to let everyone know he is leaving. Fails up to a community college job after a lackluster 2 year span at GH. And do not tell me about the state run that saved a sub .500 season and plenty of whippings by Cookeville and Lebanon.  Looks like the girls job at GH is cursed. Terrible MS program/coaches feeding what is turning out to be a joke of a HS team.
