The fights were seriously the most exciting parts of the game....The delays killed this game....Need to do something about that clock....Other than that, DC has some pretty good athletes. Should be fun to watch this year....Congrats on the win...

I hear ya about the clock. Just got back from the game years ago the fight behind the end zone would have been between opposing fans, the one tonight wasn't. Good win DC and good luck to the Trojans the rest of the season :thumb:

 

Correction: fighting beyond field of play " Was Not " between players..smaller kids always slide down bank in north endzone..several older kids bullying others were escorted out of stadium..no place for kids bullying other kids anywhere..no displicine at home , school lead to kids unruly actions..

Bart Stowe was the WRONG HIRE...He walked into a loaded team last year...Several returning seniors, a 1,000 yard rusher and experience galore...Bickering, infighting, Coaches clashing with players and vice versa, parents clashing with coaches, took a state ranked team down the tubes...

 

Stowe is a fine man for all I know, and having grown up in a football family and been a coach KNOWS his X's and O's..But on the discipline area he falls WAY SHORT!...How many years has it been since Dyersburg fans have watched such an undisciplined mess...People ragged on poor Darren Bowling and Stowe's making him look like Nick Saban...

 

I will support Dyersburg football..I am an alumnus an former player..But the wrong man is at the helm..Same thing at D.C ..Adam Renshaw is a CLASS ACT as a man and person..but as a football coach he is like Stowe NO DISCIPLINE...

 

James Counce is gone and will never return, but with him on the sidelines you always liked your chances EVEN when the other team had the advantage in the athlete department...Don't know what it's gonna take or what it's gonna cost..but we need another coach who leaves no doubt about "WHO IS RUNNING THE SHOW"..and who will put the "FEAR OF GOD" in these kids.. Football is a DICTATORSHIP..not a democracy...Until we get a coach who is gonna do things HIS WAY and TELL meddling parents and the troublesome kids to take a hike we will go nowhere but DOWN..

I agree with you.All those things took from the game.Dyer Co has some very good athletes.Next year should really be their year.Believe there are only 3 seniors on the whole team.!

Congrats to DC on the win. Yall looked great in all areas. I know this sounds bad but the fight was awesome. Got both teams and fanns really rowled up lol. Where were u at bigster?

 

Again congrats dc on the win and good luck this season.

 

I was standing on the Dyersburg side of the field.With my Falcon shirt and cap.I saw a couple Lake Co people.Cars were lined up for over a mile.

Maybe Dyersburg will get things turned around.If a new coach is needed,I know just the man that would be a great fit.Don't think he's ever had a losing season in over 20 years of coaching..considered a legend by some in his area.Has never wanted to leave the school he is at but I do know Dyersburg would be that 1 place he'd consider.He just kicked his all region full back off the team.He doesn't pull any punches but is a great guy and puts in hours about like a college coach.

Thats right on the money....Stowe did the exact same thing at Haywood....The best talent in the entire state sometimes, but no discipline AT ALL....

Who we talking about. We are finally getting rid of most of Dyersburg's problem in my opinion. Ramer is retiring. He is the reason that the Counces are not still here. Maybe Ramer's replacement will take pride in what Dyersburg use to have and fix things because lets be honest my wife could have a .500 team at Haywood. I do not have anything against Bart Stowe but he was not ,is not and never will be the right guy for Dyersburg.

      Im more of a Basketball follower than football and like I said we play what we have, there is no going and recruiting or even talking kids into transferring…..and to rebut about Memphis teams in finals I’ve watched Memphis East and Penny Hardaway with the enrollment of a single A team play up and dominate any and all challengers for years! They aren’t the only ones either Mike Miller and son at Germantown put together that super team a couple years ago that ran through the rest of the state! Other teams from Memphis or Chatt or Nash or any large populated area pop up and are relevant out of nowhere every year because they get an influx of talent be it from a new coach or AAU affiliations it happens in football also just like any other sport! I hope these two schools that close join together and get to play the team you support, then you may see it differently! I find it funny some of you think recruiting and resources don’t matter . The county schools get very little funding also but you don’t want to get me started on that part!

      In a total classless move, Coach Simmons once again shows his true colors. Waits till the day after school is out to let everyone know he is leaving. Fails up to a community college job after a lackluster 2 year span at GH. And do not tell me about the state run that saved a sub .500 season and plenty of whippings by Cookeville and Lebanon.  Looks like the girls job at GH is cursed. Terrible MS program/coaches feeding what is turning out to be a joke of a HS team.
