The QB at Scott Co. is fun to watch. Great athlete (basketball too), gutsy competitor. But, realistically the Highlanders will be challenged to score against the F5 number 1 unit. They do put the ball in the air quite a bit and that is the only area of Alcoa's game that may be just a little bit suspect, but certainly not enough for someone to pose a serious threat. Outside of turnovers or penalties I see the Tornadoes scoring practically every time they touch the ball.

Alcoa in a run away as usual. I have a request to any Alcoa posters if you will indulge me. Over in the 5A/6a thread you will see Henry Co vs Springfield, the HC posters are under the assumption that they have earned the right to be cocky. They have won "ZERO" gold balls but hang their hats on the fact they have been in 2-3 state semis in the last several years. The Alcoa fan base have absolutely earned the right to be cocky b/c state titles are something to hang your hat on. If it does grad your interest just go check out pg 4 on that thread.....

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
