I think he meant the people who want to argue about it will have their answer. I agree with you that they are both good.

I've seen both play and both are very good players for their respective team, so there you have it ! I still think the wood pulls a rabbit out of the hat and PC does the same to WC, just a gut feeling bout the closing weeks of regular season, guess we will see some of you folks soon, good luck to everyone !!

Here's a little breakdown of both teams.

PC is 6-2. CW is 5-2.

PC has scored 257 points averaging 36.7 per game. CW has scored 226 points averaging 32.3 per game.

PC has given up 82 points averaging 11.7 per game. CW has given up 98 points averaging 14 per game.

PC's opponents are 17-32. CW's are 21-29.

PC's opponents have scored 860 points averaging 17.6 per game and have given up 1352 points averaging 27.6 per game.

CW's opponents have scored 1009 points averaging 20.2 per game and have given up 1031 points averaging 20.6 per game.

Common opponents are Loretto (1-6), Richland (1-6), Mt. Pleasant (4-3), and Columbia Academy (4-3).

C.O.'s are 10-18.

PC beat Loretto 33-0 and CW beat them 40-13.

PC beat Richland 47-7 and CW beat them 47-0.

PC beat Mt. Pleasant 48-34 and CW lost to them 36-44.

PC beat CA 36-20 and CW beat them 42-14.

PC has outscored C.O.'s 164-61. CW has outscored C.O.'s 165-71.

Food for thought.

I like this, I like it a lot... By the way Perry County has only 1 loss to Parsons Riverside, They're no slouch.

I think Collinwood got hosed in the Mt. Pleasant game, which leaves me to this very crucial point. Tradition plays a big role for these Trojans, they have a lot of history and many talented Athletes come through them parts. Now, their tradition is what most of those kids look at for Inspiration, the thought of letting down their town is unbearable. I remember losing to Hickman County for the first time in 18 years.... It was a rough two weeks, because we dropped the ball against Wayne County that very next week. Having that "Tradition" over your head every time you step on the field can either Help you be a better player, or Hurt you and your confidence. I think Collinwood might get down early, then what happens? Which side of the 8 ball will they land on? I know it took a cream puff or two in the next few weeks to get our heads back on straight, then we won the Region Championship against a much more talented Camden team. This game is a season maker, or a season failure.... for the Trojans.

I think you're right about that. Collinwood's whole town supports the high school football team.

I stand Corrected, I thought for sure that Ryan Leaf was ahead of him that year.

i think i'm getting what you're saying now though. although i may not agree (completely, still agree somewhat). up until lets say, the pro level, a more athletic qb is way more effective than the more pocket passer. its just usually when i hear 'qb' i automatically think someone that sits in there and throws the ball, or hands it off. not the say 'marco daily' style qb who gets the ball and runs. (i only use that name because its familiar, and by no means trying to get a whose better daily/tucker/rice debate!) which i am confident however both are better qb's than daily although he was extremely effective back there.

    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
