GoddardField
Yep...Coach D is a biggin' But, it was Alcoa's finest that took care of business! Duncan is a great guy. I wish he and Nix would have been around when I played. I loved my coaching staff with the exception of 1 but Ive hung around Duncan a few times and the guy is just awesome. alcoafan72
Alcoa still has a basketball team? I just thought we had a $4 Million dollar gym so the refs would have somewhere nice to stay during the cold football seasons. Why doesnt Alcoa recruit for basketball? Dag nab them 'Naders get out there to Memphis and find us a point guard.

One of these young men just might be the Doctor that keeps my old rear alive some day! If ur son is who i think he is, i wish him the best of luck the rest of this season and at the next level! He is a very classy kid! Edited November 22, 2010 by WarriorFan74
scots50
If ur son is who i think he is, i wish him the best of luck the rest of this season and at the next level! He is a very classy kid! I appreciate your kind words. He respects CAK greatly. He has nothing but High praise for CAK's linemen and LB's. He says they are the best coached and best technical lineman he sees all year. From my viewpoint, I strongly agree.
JuniorsDad
I spoke to Coach Rankin after the game, I wanted to congratulate him. BowdenBoy111
Since Alcoa and Cak are the 2 best teams in the state and have played pretty much the toughest teams in the state, who do you guys think would be left in this round had the TSSAA split up quad 2 and put CAK, Alcoa, Louden, Polk, Tyner, Howard in different quads. cakfan1
IMO only Alcoa or cak really doesn't matter who was in the quad had they not been in the same quad cak and Alcoa would be playing this week which in all honesty they should play for the title. One thing I did want to address there was a comment made by someone here talking about alcoas finest I was along the fence line Friday when one of alcoas finest jumped on a football player from cak for yelling after that big hit the policeman should have kept his mouth shut and let the coaches do there job. As far as anyone is concerned that hit was legal by high school rules bit it was a needless hit the ball was no where close to him and it shouldvhave been called unnecessary roughness but the bottom line is Alcoa won good luck in cookeville and know that the gap closed a little bit more. Fiftyishfootballmom
Agree 100%. Great game last night, and I'd like to say thanks again to the lady from Alcoa who gave us a couple of great seats with their group. You are welcome JD, glad you came to Alcoa to see a great game. BTW, the police escort for #16 of Alcoa was initiated by me. I was standing outside the Alcoa locker room and overheard 6 CAK male high school fans talking behind me about getting even with #16 over a 'cheap shot' and they were going to make him pay. If you wonder how I knew they were CAK fans - a couple of them had bodies painted blue and the others wore the CAK school colors. I found a police officer who sent them on their way and then went down to the field to escort # 16 off the field. That is the end of that story. To CAK players, you played a great game and should be proud of all you have accomplished. Thank you for giving us a great high school game and several years of wonderful, competitive high school football.
