  1. 1. The winner is....

    • Champions (Alcoa)
    • Country Club (Goodpasture)
    • Just don't care....OR Hope Alcoa loses, but don't really like Goodpasture either.

Disclaimer: this is a poor imitation of Leonards Losers. No insults intended. Just for fun, so lighten up Francis.

The Cougars from Goodpasture will prowl their way to Cookeville in search of a state championship & a gold ball. They have found their District prey to be relatively easy to catch and conquer. But the big cats don't like to hunt in bad weather and there is sure to be some extremely windy conditions when they take the field against the strength of the F5 Tornadoes. Alcoa has wrecked havoc amongst some of the sterdiest football fortresses in the state and Dist. 4 so snarling cats strike no fear. In the last 3 meetings between the kitties and the wind blowers Alcoa has dominated to the tune of 121-19. Tornadoes are one of natures most destructive forces and the same will be true on the turf at TTU this Friday.

FootballDads Forecast: Alcoa: 35 Goodpasture: 7

WHO CARES ABOUT STATS! Stats do not mean ONE thing. Also if you all are SOOOOOOOOOO good, then move up and play teams like Beech, Hendersonville, Gallatin, and MJ. Exactly you'd get stomped. I don't think people understand how small Goodpasture really is. In the senior class there are 97 students, and they have the biggest grade. Also, the jokes about dress codes...really? COOL. ROCK ON. We will see you Friday, win or lose, Goodpasture has done work this year. Alcoa is full of cocky stuck up meat heads that care more about football than education. So quit talking smack, and wait till Friday. SUCK IT.

Uh! Oh! Somebody forgot to take their meds tonight!

To my Twin-City neighbors:

Some of you know I married a Goodpasture Grad. She's obviously a little upset over my lack of confidence in a Cougar victory. I made the mistake of telling her the Cougar's will be lucky if they don't get "mercy-ruled." Well, she's threatening to take my "BOH" allowance away.

I know you are all fond of that magic number "49". Don't blame you, it's the number of perfection "7" times "7" Championships. If you don't mind, could you let Goodpasture score at least 17 so I can say she was right, "they didn't get mercy-ruled!"

Of course I understand if you just can't help it! What will be, will be! Be safe and bring home another piece of golden hardware!

    • I don't believe they have anyone that is surbers caliber but a decent staff overall.

    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
