Roy I got to thinking...it's not about how much pressure is in the balls but rather how much pressure is on the balls. You want to make sure you apply the right amount of pressure to the balls and in the right spot. If you can get these two things right the balls will shoot up really quick. Be warned though...if Grider does this he'll need to be coaching from behind because he may get hit in the face.

Let me ask you a question Moto. The holder thats holds the balls on extra points, does he make sure and turn the seam of the balls away from the kicker? If he does this, it makes the ball go further when the kicker kicks it. Let me ask you another question. What do you mean about it doesnt matter how much pressure is in the balls, but on the balls? I garuntee you that you need the right amount of air pressure in the balls to make them go through the goalpost. If the holder puts to much pressure on the balls, the kicker will not be able to kick it through the goalpost. You think im joking but im not.

Roy you are right; the laces need to be facing the goal post. As far as the air pressure goes...the best amount of air pressure is 13 psi. Grinder should by his ball boy an air pressure gauge that tells you how many psi is in the ball. The ball boy should check the pressure in the balls before your kicker kicks the extra points.

Roy let me ask you some questions...why are you worried about the pirate kicker? Which 1A football team is going to play SP so close that you will need to worry about the kicker making the extra points?

I garuntee you that Grider will have a hard time beating Joe Byrns, Gordonsville, Wayne County and Huntingdon. Those are four real good teams. I thought Union County was going to be real good this year, but they have not done to well so far. I dont know if we can win another championship after watching us the first two games. You think im joking but im not.

    • Never in my life have I seen a team in a scrimmage against their own defense look so lost and confused. The defense didn’t look much better, the coaching staff can’t keep their anger together, not only with the players but also with their other coaches. I feel awful for those players. None of them look like they wanted or should’ve been out there, but for the grown men on the sidelines acting like fools, it's just embarrassing to the Farragut name and reputation. I now see why they chose not to live stream this on their YouTube channel.
    • We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.
    • I like the Pirates chances. I’ll be there as soon as work allows.
    • Stars, I heard we were searching far and wide for some math teachers. Any chance their kids bench press or 40 times are getting checked? LOL I’ve heard good things from 825.
    • I think it was expected. “Bad” luck I guess to get a couple difference maker QBs in the same class. I thought the decision was made a little early myself, but they were struggling offensively last year.  I assume the running quarterback alco had last year would be a senior this fall, and the transfer would start the following two years in addition to getting a ton of playing time this year. Maybe he waits two yrs, but I doubt it. The kid is good. So is the one who stayed.
