UncleDave has just sat back and read all 200 plus pages this week. There is not much I can add to it because I am not a trash talker or try to be someone I am not. Here is how I see it. Wayne County is a good solid football team. I have watched their game with Huntingdon and the 2011 highlight film on youtube. They are a big physical team from what I can see and are very versatile on offense have a solid defense. With all of that said, I don't think they have played the tough schedule that the Pirates have played. The Pirates are very battle tested this year and the road to Cookeville was as tough as any they have had to go thru that I can remember. I have been to almost all of the Pirate games this year and from what I have seen, they play up to the competition which is reflected in how they played against lesser opponents....but when they play against good teams they can be scary. I expect a very focused Pirate team will take the field tomorrow and play 4 solid quarters. Wayne County will play hard, but I just don't think they will have what it takes to derail the Pirates this year. This is not disrespect to the Wildcats, just my opinion. Pirates will roll to their 6th gold ball.

Well, you old nose picker Roy, TT, powerp and I are gonna find you when we get there. TrainTracks wants you to try some chicken nuggets with his special sauce.

Bahaha watch out Peg! That nugget word shouldn't be tossed around lightly! :thumb:

TrainTracks got put in the hole for calling someone that last year! You think I'm joking but I'm not! Oh and I will be ready much earlier than 9:30 but fudge rounds are packed and ready to go....Call Roy and make sure everything is golden ;)

    • Worst thing SC could do is get rid of Dyer. I agree with everything said above.
    • Jada Hart, Jasmine Bailey and Kaitlyn Patterson the first two being PG's are all good guards and can handle ball pressure and are good players. Raven Wells will be a good post. There were games this summer where any one of the one's I mentioned were in double figures. Gibson County will control TO's much better this year and they will press more and get back to playing faster. AA is down across the board. I have been all over watching ball. Alcoa jumped to AAA and Jackson County moved down. to A. No telling who wins it this year. I agree Union City, Westview and Gibson County will be a dogfight and must see basketball. Poster insuated that Gibson County has a mental block against Westview. Well give me Maddie Gray and we line up last year and they wouldn't have won a game. Let's see how Westview does this year. Their starting five last year had three transfers in it. Rogers from Obion, Trevathon from Greenfield and Gray from South Fulton. Looks like they swung and missed with the girl from Florida this year so let's see how they do playing with kids from Westview. Gibson County has a really good 7th grade class this year.I have done learned you play with what you got and work them hard and develop them and see what happens. Just keep battling and see what happens. I like our team this year. Very athletic. Every year is the same with injuries and can be catistrophic to any. I watched GC all summer long. South Side and GC was very evenly matched and was a classic war.We had some quality wins this summer. Beat Huntingdon, Henry County, Bowling Green, Liitle Rock Central as well as a couple other quality Kentucky Teams. Westview's talent pool may not be what it has been without transfers the next few.
    • I think Gibson County is a top five team this next season but I do agree they will drop off a lot after this year.  Westview lost a ton and will be down this season and hopes of returning to glass house again is slim.  The run they have had is super impressive!
    • My take on GC for this year: Based on what I saw last year and heard this summer, I’m not sure GC could surprise me next year with any outcome. Wilkins is a great coach - they could win the district and region and go to Murfreesboro. They could also come in third in the district and not get out of region. The two returning starters are very talented but Guru is right that they didn’t always play hard last year. The other three starters are good enough in their roles for GC to be successful. There is no depth. Foul trouble could be a problem - Wilkins may avoid it by playing a lot of zone. An injury would be catastrophic. I hope they have a big year and Wilkins rides off into the sunset in Murfreesboro because, without some significant transfers, there are some tough years coming in the next few.
    • Daniel Boone coming down to 3A makes this much tougher. They added a couple transfers to the Flores girl. Cocke Co, Northview, Greeneville, and Daniel Boone - only two headed to Murfreesboro.
