Who are your top teams in A basketball?

I would say Jackson County, they return 3 very good players from last years state runner-up team and always seem to reload. Then don't forget about Clarkrange...It's been 3 or 4 years since Lamar's been to the 'boro' so i'm sure he'll make sure he makes a run at it as well...

I would have to say that UC is among the best teams in A basketball. Amber Fair alone makes that happen. They also return a pretty good support group around her. If she isn't a Miss Basketball Finalist I will be shocked. Guess that is what UCT wanted to hear in this post. lol UC still has to show up in LC and earn it though. LC will be tough and will not give UC the district. UC also has a tough young South Fulton team in their County and district.

Remember, Union City has aa girl coming back that was not allowed to play last year due to address problems. Union City girls will be loaded this year with speed, height, size and more. They sould go all the way this year, Lake County or not...... With many coming back the year after. Union City will sport another young team to some degree.

UC will have to have be a lot more improved around Fair for them to be a true contender in my opinion!

 

The way it's been D7A takes a year off before they decide to come back and win a championship, so it could be UC's title this year

The bench players on 7A and 8AA teams get little press. That is why people say some teams reload.

I know Stown lost Franklin, but, we have some good talent coming back with Morgan Long and Megan Kilburn...considering the district and region, I would think they make it to subs at the very least

"that was not allowed to play last year" ... TRANSLATION: TSSAA declared her ineligible due to UC lying about the specifics of the transfer and UC forfeited 5 games in which she played before being caught

 

"due to address problems" ... TRANSLATION: the student did not move yet UC turned in a false new address to TSSAA

 

just needed to clear up the "spin", i guess we can all tell it's an election year with the spin in that quoted post

 

now saying all that I'm glad they did recruit those two girls from Obion because OCC is gonna be tuff enough without those two for my Lady Trojans, but we host the tourney again so anything is possible

 

as for the topic of the post, I see Jackson County winning it

UC depending on Fair's condition, Loretto,Jackson Co,Summertown just some teams that was in state tournament that return a lot of players.

Loretto will return one senior this year and the team will probably be made up of 1 Sr, 1 JR, 3 soph with two of those sophmores at 6'. They should be pretty good and getting better over the next couple of years.

Loretto will be tough as nails as always but I dont think they knock Stown off the top shelf in 12A just yet. Union City is my pick to win it at this point but I think JC can play with them if not beat them and I believe Stown can run with them on any given night. Of course, the season is just starting so there is alot to be learned yet.
