Seriously, you are going to bring #5 and his hype (drive and love for the game) into your classless blogs? I highly doubt him LOOKING into thw Whitehaven stands after a play was offensive to anyone - if it was, toughen up - it's part of the game. There's not another player out there that has more RESPECT for the game of football... the most disrespect of the night was the announcer being a whitehaven cheerleader instead of an announcer. Only 3 times did he mention an MJ player for a play and all 3 times he couldn't even get the names and numbers right - call that respect and classy? And when the radio says the officials were one sided in the game.. speaks for itself! When a player has his helmet ripped off by the facemask right in front of the ref and no penalty is called - OBVIOUS! That's just to name one... stop the whining and move on... MJ played one heck of a game and those boys deserve RESPECT - they were equally talented - that game was down to the last seconds and could have gone either way.... and EVERYONE knows it! It was not a blow out! FACTS!

Good luck in Cookville. Really doesn't matter either way. Only one or two of you will make your life better by making it to the next level & statisticallly.. both both of those guys will be losers. Please .... Please have everyone on your squad watch ESPN's 30/30's Broke. All of the thugs on your squad need to watch it.

 

I actually hope you guys win Saturday night so everyone on your squad can be on ESPN in 10 years on the next 30/30.

A little harsh calling the Whitehaven kids "thugs"and"losers"CVN72.I've been to some of the worst neighborhoods in Memphis for tournament/playoff games,and have never been treated anything less than you'll find at some Christian schools.Don't "hate" someone for being in a different situation than yourself,and until someone proves themself less than worthy of respect...well it's just wrong.These kids have aspirations just like the Maryville kids do,and have a tougher path to achieve them,so stick to football if you would.Not trying to be holier than thou,just feel for anyone judged from their circumstances,and a lot of them read these boards.

This post is totally uncalled for and incredibly stupid. This is not a Maryville poster that I am aware of and I have been on this board for many years. It really doesn't matter who this poster represents........ post in an embarrassment and inacurate.

 

Tradertwo....you or nobody else has to counter the ignorance spewed from that post.

Wow? Very Very Very good football game Friday night. To me it's what high school football is all about. Hat's off to Mt.Juiliet and their fan's and coaching staff. Their coaches scouted us good and gave us some serious things to work on this week. Can't say enough about the effort given by both teams. The difference in this game was Mark Dodson bottom line. If their is a back in Tennessee more explosive than this guy, l'm anxious to see them. MJ fans without being bitter,can I get a true comparison between Herd and Dodson?

 

 

PS:The majority of our players go to college and become productive citizens. Our Principle and all our coaches are products of Whitehaven.

Even the Senator, who is at Tennessee Tech getting his Master's. Proud of that guy regardless of what is thought of him on this board. Rebel rouser maybe but thug he is not. lol

I knew that he was not a Maryville poster MLREB,and you can't"unsay"what's been said but sometimes I can't help it.People get caught-up and type things they'd never have the audacity to say to someones face and it embarasses me to be affiated with them,and by that I mean anyone not from Memphis.

      Im more of a Basketball follower than football and like I said we play what we have, there is no going and recruiting or even talking kids into transferring…..and to rebut about Memphis teams in finals I’ve watched Memphis East and Penny Hardaway with the enrollment of a single A team play up and dominate any and all challengers for years! They aren’t the only ones either Mike Miller and son at Germantown put together that super team a couple years ago that ran through the rest of the state! Other teams from Memphis or Chatt or Nash or any large populated area pop up and are relevant out of nowhere every year because they get an influx of talent be it from a new coach or AAU affiliations it happens in football also just like any other sport! I hope these two schools that close join together and get to play the team you support, then you may see it differently! I find it funny some of you think recruiting and resources don’t matter . The county schools get very little funding also but you don’t want to get me started on that part!

      In a total classless move, Coach Simmons once again shows his true colors. Waits till the day after school is out to let everyone know he is leaving. Fails up to a community college job after a lackluster 2 year span at GH. And do not tell me about the state run that saved a sub .500 season and plenty of whippings by Cookeville and Lebanon.  Looks like the girls job at GH is cursed. Terrible MS program/coaches feeding what is turning out to be a joke of a HS team.
