2013 Boyd Buchanan

Boyd Buchanan will have another good team in 2013. I think 8-2 is very possible with a loss to South Pittsburg and either Copper Basin or Notre Dame.

Copper Basin isn't on the same planet as Notre Dame or Boyd (literally & figuratively speaking).

 

That is more a compliment to Boyd than a slam at Basin. Basin had a good Class A team last year, but lost handily to the Bucs. Boyd is a perennial Top 3 team in Class AA playoff teams.

 

I think Notre Dame will surprise some people on the next few years. Lot of talent at skill positions.

I had chance to go to the boyd east ridge scrimmage tonight...I thought boyd did some things well but east ridge look good tonight ....boyd is young and have some humps to get over...east ridge has some good team speed...overall good scrimmage

East Ridge beat us at the line. Our line really needs to get better. I think that they will improve as the year goes on.  Defense didn't tackle well. Kept trying to strip the ball instead of wrap up and tackle. Pretty much we played defense like Signal Mtn does. We are young, and we may lose a few games this year, but come play off time, I think we will be ready.  East Ridge could have a pretty decent year. The running back ran hard. Coach Reynolds will get things worked out for us. We have the players, just no experience. We may have 3 or 4 seniors getting significant playing time. The future is bright.

Tell me the last time the future wasn't bright for Boyd. The future was bright 4 years ago when your QB was a freshman. Now he is a senior and it's bright again.
