That is the surprise. I know but I will have to let someone else release this information as I have already spoken too much. I am not at Liberty to say and it is not my call. But other fans should know as well.

The mavs have two quality backs. Garett Johnson and Matt Fox. Both are Juniors, and both can play at very high levels. Look for both of them to get the ball and get it often. Gonna be an exciting year at AC.

As big of the AC OL including Pike I can Imagine a good back having a field day.

I think AC will be very good. That staff does a good job up there year in and year out. Dragons won't be any match, heard their numbers are way down.

Anderson County's best year was in 2001 with an 11-2 record playing AA ball.  They have never been to a state championship game.

What was our record when we went to the semifinal game in AAA in 1996?  I assume we lost more than two games that year because of those who say 2001 was AC's best year.  But I'd have thought getting to the semifinal game in AAA, the highest classification at the time, was our best year.

West is not as good this year. QB transfered to Fulton.  RB moves to qb.  They have 11 guys out with injury right now.  They won't be nearly as good this year as they have been the last 3 years.

AC went 11-3 in 1996 & reached the semi finals in 4a, the highest class at the time was 5a. That was ACs best season ever. Clinton went 14-1 in 1992 & were the state runner ups in AAA which was the highest class at that time.

 

Clinton has the better tradition, but appears that AC has dominated this series as of late. I lve rivalries & know a few coaches on both staffs. I think I will go check this one out, havent seen a game at Clinton in over 10 years.

Tad, the kid was going to be qb at West last name is Fenderson.  He did transfer to Fulton where he is playing receiver.

Thanks.  Good information.  I hadn't realized (or maybe forgotten cause I'm old) that Tennessee had gone to five classifications at that time.
