Greenback travels to Oneida

Coalfield was on GB radar from 1st day of practice, and they did what most folks said they couldn't. The coaching staff at GB knows there could be  let down but I don't think so with this team. Oneida will go down, this Greenback team is solid and score could be worse than coalfield.

I'm confused. I was under the impression this was a rebuilding year for Oneida? How many guys did they lose off the 2012 team?

Well it is, we graduated 16 seniors off last years squad & returned 5 of 22 starters, these boys play with more effort than most I've ever saw. They are a high football IQ as a group. Make no mistake, we are aware how good this GB team is, but we had a vote up here. We decided to go ahead & play Thursday instead of just conceding defeat, figured GB could use a warm up game for he second half of the season

 

In all seriousness, we know the majority will pick GB, most will take them big. They may be right, after all, the masses were right about the GB / CF game. . . Oh, wait! This will be a great game & either way it goes a very good team is gonna pick up a W & a very good team will carry an L. Short of that it's anyone's guess right now.

How good is this Greenback team? They were loaded the last two years. I know they lost 15 seniors last year including 5 all state players. It's hard to imagine them being better than last year's squad.

These kids are like Union workers,each one has a job to do and when they do it they are tough.The new coaching staff is great,they let them be more pyhsical in pract than the past few years and it has helped tremendous.How good are they?I guess we will see.They are teenagers so who knows,they still have a very tough schedule ahead.WTD cherokees!

These teams keep sounding more similar we don't really have any super stars, just a group that work together as a team & when they do that they are very tough. Just a bunch of hard working young men.
