That's what you call a signature win. Lots of stuff to celebrate, but also a lot of stuff to work on. Most impressive was that our boys didn't give up. They kept stickin' it to 'em all the way till the clock ran out. GO PIRATES!!

I want to give a big shout out to the entire coaching staff at SP!!! We are and have been blessed with one of the best coaching staffs in the entire state of TN for as long as I've been around....Great job tonight by the Mighty Pirates!!!  District Championship here we come!!

Great game Pirates.  A couple of gut checks and having to answer the call a couple of times tonight.  The guys rose to the occasion.  This game was a great measuring stick to show how far along we have progressed.  I think we need a new measuring stick because this team is leaps and bounds better than the team we saw the first few weeks of the season.  There were a couple of times that we could have thrown in the towel but instead just kept on going. 

The defense did a great job on Miller.  Outside of the one drive in which he broke off a long run late in the game he was kept in check.  But he is a great player and seems to be an even better man. 

As for the offensive play calling, I thought that it was pretty good.  Stone tried to throw some things at them that we haven't done before but Polk was there to snuff it out before it ever got going.  It was almost like they had seen it from us before even though we haven't done it all year. 

But anyway, great game and congrats to Vic Grider on a well deserved honor. 

Also, thanks to Harvey.  Someone told me before the game that he is retiring from the chain gang. 

Good luck next week Pirates.  I've heard that the game will be moved up 30 minutes due to TV.
