Wow DrKnows! Wow! You seem to know exactly what's going on at Lighthouse. Because they are not TSSAA, that MUST mean they cheat.

Or what could possibly be true is that the majority of the players on Lighthouse's team have grown up at that school. The really talented ones have turned down multiple offers to go to Div 2-AA schools simply because they love attending Lighthouse and don't want to leave.

But you seem to know what's going on there.

Which schools have offered? Now that would be cheating.

Another 13 3-pointers in the win against Pearl Cohn last night. Allsmiller had 5. That's 50 in 4 games for the team. Looks like the football players won't be back for the upcoming Oak Hill (#2 in the nation) game. Even with them, it would have been a big upset for CPA to win, but without them, I don't see it happening. Good to play those teams though. Dec.13-14 CPA plays White Station and Findley Prep in Memphis. White Station is winnable; probably not FP (#4 in the nation).

CPA will go 8-10 deep this year with 3-4 great long range shooters. If Howell can keep his shoulder healthy, they will be much better because they don't have much inside other than Blackwell.

Do they taunt in basketball too (despite saying "win with class")???

God have mercy on the poor

Lighthouse got some of Ezell's best player this year, I think 2 of them to be correct. which definitely helps.

They did. One of them starts and is putting up about 10 ppg. The other one comes off the bench but is a strong contributer as well as a sophomore. The core of their team though is their 3 starters that are 11th graders and have been starting for them since they were 8th graders.

One of them is a kid named Tripp Davis is Lighthouses' best player. 11th grader averaging about 24-25ppg right now against all the 3A schools they have been beating. He should be getting some serious looks from colleges in the near future if he keeps playing as well as he has been. He was the best player in the gym when Lighthouse beat FRA (with Marberry playing)

Not got a kid on the team, but do have kids at Lighthouse this year.... And know for sure that they do make sure the guys are academically eligible! I've seen guys benched, etc. and nobody has sold their souls! Their entire enrollment is a true/accurate picture of the community they serve. Most all of them have been there for a LONG time, many with older siblings having graduated before them, and these boys coming up the ranks of their little middle school, and jv teams. Those kids work super hard. The coach takes no slack! Respectful. honest. expects the same from his boys! And the two kids they got from Ezell are a huge asset for sure,  but one of the dads said he chose to switch him because he observed the discipline on the LCS team. They do summer camps, summer workouts, and heavy practices, just like "real schools." They've got devoted parents, devoted fans, and the school operates like a family. They are ALL about those kids, win or lose. (I see it in the other sports, too, even when they don't perform as strong. volunteer coaches putting in extra time with kids. same with their choir, their drama,) The school is growing every year. not seeing the doors closing.

All that to say.....they are good kids and a good coach. just let 'em play. give them a fair place a the "table" of this level of mid-state play. assume they are in it for real. and don't count them out, at least this year or the next.

BTW, they won the Leroy Wright Classic tonight  - beating Macgavock by 6, Cane Ridge by 3, and tonight in the championship Hunter's lane by 7.

Good win for CPA last night on the road against a quality team at Brentwood. Helps the team to have a close game. Reality arrives Saturday against Oak Hill without the football players for one more week. Don't think CPA can hang with them unless they shoot lights out. It will be interesting to see how Blackwell does against them.

Heard Parker Howell will not be returning to the BB team this year due to offseason surgery after football. The rest of the football players that played last year should be playing - Adams, both Richards, Manuel, Johnson - who am I missing?

So let me get this straight, two players from Ezell transferred to LIghthouse and they are still eligible to play?  How is this possible if the parents did not move?

    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
    • You really mean the Price twin boys and Lyin Larry.
