Unless a mugging takes place, fouls in a tie game with 2 or 3 seconds are really misguided….how many times do you see fouls called in college or pro in those circumstances.  Yes this is just high school but because the TSSAA voids itself of any responsibility here, there will never be any improvement.

From my vantage point, it appeared 25 (when doing an almost out of control whirlwind with the ball) right foot slipped and then he stepped with his left foot on a defenders planted foot and continued to the ground (while maintain his dribble). 

So out of control? Exactly how many times did that kid blow by the Cleveland D and get to the rim? He had his head and shoulder past the kid who tripped him, and it was called a block, not a trip, and I see blocks called multiple times each game.

 

Honestly getting about tired of all of the crying and whining from Cleveland folks. I have won and lost games over the years in some cases on calls that I felt screwed my kids over, and never have I laid down in the floor and pitched a fit like your coach did. Nor have I followed the officials across the gym screaming. Never played for a coach who did, and honestly I can't remember a successful local coach in either HS or even Elementary who did. If that is what you consider leadership and setting a proper example in the greater Chattanooga area, then hey bully for you!

 

As it is, proud of and for our Panthers, and the classy coaches that we have!

I am sure there was some whining, but our coaches at least had the class to not lay down in the middle of the floor and act like a 2yr old when we felt wronged. Of course maybe that is what you guys see as acceptable behavior!

It is called a lot when a kid is knocked to the ground. Anyone from Cleveland whining about the refs in that game is priceless. Cleveland played D like the old Pistons, all holding and hands. Almost no calls, and then they complain about an obvious foul at the end. Nice!
