Early predictions for 8-AA 2014

I will go one step foward,UH 2013 add healthy Linder,Hollars,Creekbaum,Elderidge,Flatt and Mcdonald just from....they win state 4a or 3a, and compete for state in 5a or 6a.

I'd say the best Defenseive team would be 2 years ago, Ely and Puckett on the ends with Linder and Gill in the middle, Run a 4-3 and you have solid linebackers everywhere. The secondary Im not sure on but just that D-line would keep every offensive line up late at night in the state.

U guys keep picking all the good players from each team. Next question, who would coach this team from our district. I would have to go with Coach Lamb from LA hands down. He has done a terrific job there.

You know Coach Wright might do more with less than anyone in 8aa. I agree with Lamb being head coach. There would be way to much fire power on this dream team to be running Coach Wrights offense.

Gill probably could have played small college ball. Had some kind of heart condition that i heard about.  Good player , but definitely somewhere small had he been healthy. I believe he could have played OVC. I think he is just attending UT.

I think you would want the Puckett from his Junior year. He seemed to have lost some weight or something his senior year and was just a bit off from his junior campaign. I only saw him in 2 of his last 3 games that year. Not a backhanded dig from an LA fan, but thought he may have been banged up late in the season as most were because we were all good enough to beat the crap out of each other physically that year. Great player none the less. As for db's I would think McCoin and/or Hollars might fill some secondary roles and the short kid from DeKalb that was such a good cover corner.
