Brentwood high school is the number 1 academic public, non magnet school in TN with the highest ACT average, around 25. Next question...

Then Stars would be above average at Brentwood, cause he told me the other day that he made a 35.............on a lot of testus when he was in school!!!

Maryville had tuition students from 1978-1998 when no championships were won on the field. Maryville went 20 years without a championship. I saw a lot of 5-5 seasons in that timeframe.

Maryville's success now is because of George Quarles and his coaching staff. Best coaching staff around.

BackinTN and Notre Dame 66 have a Maryville obsession. I would bet that most teams have fans who talk a lot of smack and disrespect others. It seems like those 2 concentrate on Maryville a lot though. They would have really hated Rebelraider.

Hammontree brought in a subtle recruiting game. Quarles capitalized and perfected it.

No obsession with Maryville at all, don't flatter yourself. It is a great program that takes advantage of every possible angle. I don't blame them at all for it. It would be a better judge of how good they and Alcoa are to compete in the division where everyone recruits. That  is a compliment, whether you agree with it or not.

    • Yeah, we came up short. I remember we threw a ball over the middle to #5 Guymon? and he came up short of the sticks. Gave em he&& for a bit though.
    • Doe dee doe doe…..hmmmmmmm one of those players can run faster than my lawnmower when I put it in 5th gear turbo.  You can bet the lawnmower on that.
    • Yeah I am on board and plan on coming down from the Ridge for some home games, great Friday night atmosphere there.  I'm really hoping SC can get them back going and have some success for those fans and community.
    • Yep I was field level on the scoreboard end throwing ball with Benny when we had that brief lead. Everybody got very excited but it was short lived as Murvil regrouped and went into machine mode. But yeah,  that hit sounded like the crack of a black powder rifle being fire.  I believe Dozier took one like that as a Soph up at Greeneville after on olay block.
    • Ole Benny boy lol. I forgot about Harder. He was tough as crap. He graduated in ‘09. I went to the OR/Maryville game that year (great game, btw) and he collided with Jacob West (I think was his name) and you could hear it clearly at the top of the visitor bleachers. Man, it was a stick. He could lay some wood son. All those guys were tough, Elliott included.
