I would say both west and SC may go through the whole season only losing to the Champs. SC doesn't win many scrimmages. Most people have no idea what they are watching besides the ball. Coachs rotate players like crazy in pre season they keep the play calling very vanilla and for example devonte Matthews and the Allstate d lineman were running the chains for the bears vs west. Also did not play the best player on the team # 5 more than maybe a few snaps. I bet maryville does the same thing. Dylan Jackson probably doesn't play long in pre season either along with many others that start forthe Rebs on Friday nights. That why they have all the ifl struggles.

So you are saying that SC looked good???

Moved the ball well. Returned 2 kickoffs to the 50 while kicking every ko into the end zone and nobody got hurt to my knowledge. The bears d even got 1 stop. The starters that played only played like 20 plays. So while I would not say they looked good I would say it was a successful scrimmage. The offense will improve fast that's just what the bears seem to be best at and Matthews and #5 are worth 4 or 5 scores on any night. The defense is getting better but the jury is out for sure on that side of the ball. I personally believe the d will be improved. I would not say this is a very weak bears team. I would say they could beat anyone come playoff time! Right now I'm sure all the focus is on bearden and getting better each day.

How is the new field looking up at SC? I bet it looks great. You guys have a really good place to watch a game.

Looking good still no big screen tv though. I know everyone is excited to see dolly singing the national anthem on the TV but Im hearing that they couldn't get all of her onto the screen so they had to send it back for a wider angle.

      Good thing we aren’t in Florida then huh? It would benefit a ton of the smaller schools  that don’t have the pools of kids to choose from! They should start by policing Shelby County like they do the rest of the state! Something has to change though and TSSAA knows that!

      Correct, you can whimsically be fired in coaching. A coach that has tenure can stay on as a teacher if released from coaching. If you don’t have tenure as a teacher, you can fired without cause. Your last year as a teacher before tenure is earned you can be fired, but must be given cause. A tenured teacher can be fired, but it is a long hard process requiring the 3 D’s…. documentation, documentation and documentation. I have released 3 tenured teachers, 2 with PHD’s. However, teacher contracts had and still have clauses that state you can be fired for a variety reasons re: being arrested, public drunkenness, inappropriate relationships ect.

      Florida tried urban/rural split two years ago. 4 urban classes, 4 rural classes. Didn’t work. Next year they will have 7 regular classes, 1 urban class for small schools only.
