Just curious as to how many private schools made it to the girls state tournament???

But Hamilton Heights isn't apart of the TSSAA. They play games to play games. They are not D1 or D2 so can you give me a better example of why the privates need the TSSAA. If anything privates and publics need them to play for state titles or am I missing something?

Nope sure can't. I agree. If they can play the teams and not belong what's the need except for a state title? Anybody.

I don't know. I think the whole thing is mostly driven by football. Me, I'm still waiting for people to go back to quit thinking everyone of their kids have to be the star in middle school. Kids get run out of ball of all kinds way to early from daddy ball or coaches in middle school not developing enough players. I've seen it over and over most middle school stars are average or get passed by even quit in highschool. It's the way things are. I tell people all the time if your kid wants to play find a league or place for them to go. Cause until they grow and get thier adult body and coordination you never know.

 AA - 1 - 8    Livingston Academy (lost quarters to Elizabethton), MLK is a magnet public school

Seems public schools get transfers all the time in girls bball. That seems to be outdoing the private schools recruiting in that sport.

  Not the case in this area, but I've heard alot of rumblings in other areas of the state.

Thanks Pujo.  I didnt know at first, so i went to there website before i posted earlier.  I assumed when I saw the link to scholarships, it was private.  I know the assumption thing...

Hamilton Heights play in the National Association of Christian Athletes (NACA). 

 

MHEA (Memphis Homeschool) and FCA plays in the National Christian Homeschool Athletic Associations.

 

TSSAA sanctions them so they can play games.

Private school are all about boys sports, except the likes of Webb or CPA.  THE MAIN REASON THAT PARENTS SEND THEIR GIRLS TO PRIVATE SCHOOL IS TO KEEP THEM AWAY FROM ALL OF THOSE PUBLIC SCHOOL BOYS.
