5A preseason Coaches Poll

Your right. These should be taken with a grain of salt because coaches are not going to put in a lot of time to fill out one of these polls. With that being said, one major oversight IMO is the omission of Rhea Co., not sure if they have a state championship worthy team, but I do think it is a team that will make a deep run into the playoffs. I do feel like Beech snuck in there on reputation, but is a well-earned reputation. Also curious that Campbell County isn't in the top 10, considering all the starters they are returning.

We're on it. How am I being a hater? I'm talking about the teams who probably deserve to be on it as much if not more then Oak Ridge does.

The burros are a top ten team. I would take out beech. Reputation got them in. At the end of the season burros will be top five imo.

2 omissions in my opinion. Hillsboro and Gallatin. I saw both in the spring. Hillsboro is loaded and with all of those SEC commits they should be top 3-4. Gallatin has a lot back especially at the skill positions and when you add Banks that makes them a top 10 team in my opinion.

I also think South Doyle should get some votes. Maybe not top 10, but honorable mention if their was such a thing. I feel people are still not giving Campbell County the credit they deserve either. For the simple fact that they were such a lackluster program for so long. Oh well, that will only make them guys want to prove everyone wrong again.

Agreed. Kick us off and AC. I don't think AC will be a top 10 team this year. Lost too much off that OL. I think we (OR) needs to prove a little bit before I put us on there.

Hillsboro, Rhea County and Campbell County would all be HIGH in my poll, and they aren't even mentioned in this poll. This is worse than the 4A poll. No offense to Beech, Shelbyville and Anderson County but they would be out to make room for the aforementioned three. South Doyle should also be in there as well, but I'm not sure who I'd knock out to make room for them.

I dread playing them though. Good Lord they screen pass you to DEATH. Boring football, but whatever works. 2 yard slants and screen passes ALL NIGHT LONG.
