I'm not sure any of them are a true threat to win a state championship, but if I had to pick one it would be the 6th team listed on here.  Everyone's favorite to win 5A was Henry county win the season started and Beech had the lead last week with 4 minutes left in the game...a game that everything went against Beech in the entire first half.  This list is as big of a joke as the comment that the top 5 teams on the list are a threat to win a state title.

I think if, like last year, they could manage to avoid Oakland/Blackman in the semi's, they might give Maryville a much better game in the finals.  Still would have to bet on Maryville, but don't think it would be a blow out.

I believe Hendersonville can make a deep run, but don't see them winning the championship.  Beech MAY HAVE an outside shot.  The others listed have no chance.

I don't know how it's going to be in the end, but I'm guessing Hendersonville and Beech are one and two...in either order. From there I have no guess.

Just worried about Lebanon tomorrow night. Hville needs to come ready to play as the Blue Devils should have a little extra juice due to it being their home opener. District forecasts mean nothing at this point. Any of 5 or 6 teams can still win it.
