bladerunner
It will probably start out that way..But-Maryville will wear them down. The Rebels are just too deep.
F5seekshelter
Do you want to know the difference between Maryville and Alcoa? Maryville wants to play with the big schools and Alcoa wants to take candy from babies and call it a championship. So what's your excuse for 2000, 2009 & 2010 seasons? BarneySox2007
In 2000 some of our players were facing time for counter fitting and in 2009 or 2010 the TV timeouts. We'll be a good sport and give you one of those years.
SaulakaPaul
2010 Alcoa was just the better team. That was a GREAT Alcoa team. Taharin Tyson, Darrel Warren were beasts.
MountainTroll
It's a shame that both teams can't lose.

mhs
2010 Alcoa was just the better team. That was a GREAT Alcoa team. Taharin Tyson, Darrel Warren were beasts. They were better in 09 and 10 both. In 09 they did not throw a pass and Jaron Toney ran wild. One of the things that make this rivalry what it is is mutual respect. Been watching since the late 60's. Coaches and certainly players have come and gone but the respect had always been there. This year could be a classic.

BigDave1967
The first Maryville-Alcoa game I remember paying attention to was the 2000 game(a 14-7 win by Alcoa). The 2000 season was quite a feat by Maryville going 6-4 in the regular season and winning the Blue Cross Bowl.
warhawks
Best wishes for a great injury free game! I love watching these two teams play! Will it be on TV or internet or just on the radio? Thanks!
