Alcoa @ Maryville

I could really care less, just what I think will happen. Kind of like the only one telling the William Blount people what I though that game would turn out like and it did. Hate it Alcoa is forced to play a schedule like this but that's what happens when your the bully and run up scores on little teams you have no business playing against. Alcoa can win jumping up a notch and not miss a beat and make money doing so at the gate. Not much money in playing Scratch Ankle and Frog Hollow in front of the fifty fans they bring to an away game.

I don't think I have seen Alcoa ever run up the score. There schedule is based on student population, so they really have no choice in the matter entire matter. It has been very hard to get a full schedule in past years, including 5A teams like Heritage and Wm Blount who would not put them on their schedule. That has changed with Hammondtree at heritage. Will see about Wm Blount.

I believe this is the strongest Maryville team I have seen when it comes to the weight room. I saw in the program I buy at the game where over 20 kids could bench 300lbs or more. I saw a bunch of them that could squat over 500lbs. 3 of Maryvile players Dylan Jackson,Ritchie Koons and Jaylen Burgess are approaching 400lbs on the bench.

Thank you coach Brandon Waters.

Sorry Oldrebel2, but you are incorrect about the number suspended, and it was for four games. I may be wrong about the player who scored on the interception, I'll check on that.

You are totally wrong.  There is probably NO ONE closer to the 2000 team than me.  Stick to stuff you know.  Those who were suspended were only suspended for the jamboree and the first game.  Why don't you go ask GQ and you'll find that I'm right.  Also, many believe one player was suspended (who didn't play against Alcoa) when, in fact, he was not suspended by the coach.....even though the Daily Misprint said he was suspended, he wasn't.  Scott Wilks started at QB for games 2,3 4.  Nick Giles took over at QB at half time of game 4.  Bradley Merritt started at QB for the 2000 Alcoa game.  You can't disagree with OR2 about the history of MHS football and be right!

BTW, it was PK Starks who intercepted and returned at bubble screen interception for a touchdown.  Jamel Sankey came out of the backfield down the home side of the field toward cedar street to catch the other touchdown.

Tell him S&B

That Rankin man has been run heavy these first two games. He is setting up a trap for our boys. That Quarles man needs to make sure that Gaylor man is ready. I think that Rankin man will come out with 5 wide and Myers at QB and fling it all over the field. (With apologies to Roy Dillard.)

I bet you stole Roy's M. Fair book and L. Debbie fudge rounds also?!.....ha.
