Never mentioned a kid. Said beaver is a dad who's kid couldn't hang and I stand by that. Don't have a clue who his kid is, and couldn't care less. My post about specifics, i.e., the trash can, was referring to Beavers angry post during that incident. Maybe your mod hat was left on the coat rack during them days. Don't know Jamie Jacks, doesn't matter to me what his problem is or isn't. If he handled it behind closed doors, then that's his business. But reguardless, point taken.

I never said in any way or intended in any way that I was Jamie Jacks. As far as that incident it was over last year. I have never ever mentioned anything bad or wished anything bad on any kid, player for that matter. The point I emphasize is I always want what's best for our student athletes I want to see them excel on and off the field and on the court or on the diamond. But wanted you to know that I respect your post and points and points been taken.

My moderator hat stays on the coat rack most of the time anymore. I do my best to stay out of it. I've had plenty of opinions about the coaches at Grundy since my days as a player. Whatever my opinion is the powers that be do the opposite of what I think year in and year out. I've always been right and they've always been wrong. If they would have done everything I told them (them being various different people over the years) we would have been more successful over the years. So it's a proven fact that I can't win trying to get folks to make the right decision. So there's no point in me supporting or not supporting any coach on here. And frankly no one will replace Chris Pickett in my book anyway. 

 

But I'll add this...If you don't know Jamie Jacks then you don't know much about Grundy sports for the last 30 years. He was a very good player in his day and he's spent more time coaching youth programs than I can count. Several on the current Grundy team benefited from him coaching them on the Junior Jackets.

Junior Jackets score 30 unanswered points in second half to win 52-30. Guess #3 didnt play in first half. Or did a coach make adjustments? 5 different players scored, but the Jr. Jackets are only winning because of one player? I doubt Sequatchie County feels that way. The best athletes in the school arent playing football, just like the majority of these Junior Jacket Players wont play in High School if no changes happen.

Or did a coach make adjustments? 5 different players scored, but the Jr. Jackets are only winning because of one player? I doubt Sequatchie County feels that way. The best athletes in the school arent playing football, just like the majority of these Junior Jacket Players wont play in High School if no changes happen.

1. Beaver- Since you and I and especially Jamie Jacks knows that you're NOT Jamie Jacks could you please quit leaving that item just hang out there in this debate since in has a direct impact on a great kid that has done everything possible to move on from "last year's events"???? It would really be nice for you to put that issue to rest. You don't have to say who you are but you should not let folks think you're someone you're not.

 

2. Tallahassee your comment that "your son couldn't hang" casts epic doubts on you having any intelligence at all. By making that statement you're basically saying that Levi "couldn't survive/compete/exist" within the "Known worldwide toughest high school program on the planet...aka Grundy" but he's doing just fine "hanging" with the "wimpy/weak/kick-back-and-relax Sequatchie program" coached by the "known far and wide easiest-going-lets-his-players-chill-all-the-time Ken Colquette." Is that what you're trying to say? As one poster said a post or two back..."Wow!" If that's what you think you have got to be the smartest football guy ever.....or probably not.

 

3. It seems to me that the Jacks family has moved on from the situation. I'm quite sure Levi has. He is playing ball and wants to do well for his team. He also has nothing but love for his friends on the mountain and on the Grundy team. Bringing all this crap back up is without question unfair to him and the players on BOTH teams.

 

4. Mouthing off about him in any way is bashing a player/kid and I won't put up with it. I don't wear my moderator hat very often anymore but I'll put it back on for crap like this. So I'm flat out telling you to stop. Not one more word about it. Anything else posted about it gets deleted by me. Keep it up after that and I'll request CoachT ban you and your IP address. You do know they can track IP addresses right?

 

5. Debate coaches/teams and who will win all you want. But bashing a kid ain't going to fly.

I'm pretty sure Tallahassee isn't talking about this Levi kid when he's referring to one of the best athletes in the last 10 years. I'm willing to bet he's talking about an Hayden holland

You're looking at a different comment in that post. I'm sure the best athlete comment is about Hayden. I was referencing a different comment in his post. Doesn't matter now. Move on and talk about the other stuff. It's been addressed and agreed to by those I asked to address it.

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
