sounds like u had another thriller last night batman.  glad to hear that u guys pulled it out it sounds like.  guess the young freshman played pretty well against south's 9, 10 graders.  i heard that the jv qb for south was pretty good and rb was pretty fast.  how did db fare against the older kids? has to help  them to play against most teams 10th graders. prob us and db usually end up playing most teams freshman/jv players but it is what it is i guess.  how did your qbs and rbs do last night?  coach carter has moved couple more of our kids up to jv to get them more reps..hope they stil play freshman also for our sake lol...thanks for your updates...ill do the same as we play.

100, I thought our kids done well for the most. It's obvious to me that we got very tired. We just don't have enough quality depth up front and we still have one or two players that apparently don't know that every play is recorded. In other words, don't half azz do your job because one let down can ruin a play.I'd love to see a couple of kids step up so we could rest our starters more or light a fire under those that need it.I forgot 100, South also has a kid that can really go, number 9.He is very hard for the secondary to bring down when he gets loose.

I thought our skill players had an overall good game except we had a tough time tackling not only there but everywhere.

I see you picked up what matters the most tonight King.Even if it was just a coach doing what they sometimes do,I doubt you would hear a DB coach claiming they were going to shock the world in a game they were a heavy underdog going into. Maybe this is what has been lacking at Volunteer and now after a great start the staff is drinking its own kool-aid.If they were to pull it off, I'll have to find out the coaches name and give him props. My best guess is he will just go down as another blowhard who gets a large serving of crow around 10:00 tonight.

It's obvious to me that NCboy gauges his responses strictly from the limited amount of information he gets from the coacht boards and that he has no knowledge of anything pertaining to high school football that's hasn't been regurgitated on these boards with someones personal slant on it. Typical republitard.   You can tell by his statements that it is beyond his ability to pick up a book, or a newspaper, or maybe go to a website to get the actual facts. As Batman has found out it's really hard to reason with a poster with such limitations, so you just gotta step back and let them continue to make a baffoon out of himself. So everybody stand back and give NCboy room...

You are the intellectual one.  I am sure if you have a college education it was paid by the republicans that actually pay taxes.....

    • “facts” or better yet ‘opinions’ had been up for weeks/months. that’s not why the thread was deleted. get over yourself.
    • Im pretty excited about the new rules that NFHS voted to adopt. Does anyone know if this will take place in Tennessee starting this year? I think I heard/read somewhere that the TSSAA bi-laws say the have to mirror what the NFHS does, and when the NFHS offered the current weight classes as options, TSSAA didn’t adopt them until NFHS made them official. Did NFHS make these changes official starting next season or will it be similar to the weight classes where TSSAA doesn’t change what they are doing until it is  an officially official part of the NFHS rule book? It’ll be interesting to see if it is rolled out for the new TSSAA Middle School season and I saw a post where the youth wrestling in TN was going to vote on adopting it as well.  I’ll pray for all the youth coaches that will have to shoulder the confusion from all those crazy #### parents who already think they know the rules more than everyone else  . Imagine the first time their kid is taken down and a 3 goes up on the scoreboard or their kid gets pinned with only one point of contact in the cylinder. Their heads might explode. i kid, I kid. Sort of. I’m surprised ride time was brought down with all the other changes. I know some argue that it promotes stalling on top, but its been an official scoring method in college forever, so I figure it must be doing something right. Do any of you think that’ll ever be implemented?
    • Crazy how the thread just gets deleted when facts come out.
    • I understand I guess it depends on the school you are with and the time you want to put in.  It’s evident of the schools that don’t put in as much times.  I would say basketball players put in as much time as any sport in our school system and this is coming from a football town.  Bball is a longer season than other sports.
