Man 1A is weak outside of the top 2 this year (Union City/NCS).  No way a 2-3 South Pitt should be anywhere near the top 10 especially after a 1 pt win over Whitwell.  Will a loss to a decent Grundy team be enough to get them out of the top 10?

Agree that 1A is very weak this year. And across the board, with a lot of size gone, felt like I've been watching youth football this season. And it is not just one team, it is most of 1A. The powerhouses of the past like South Pitt and Jo Byrns are gone so this top 10 poll really means nothing. It will all come down to play off wins.

  In my opinion ,UC and NC are just as strong or even stronger 1a teams than what were used to, The East is about like usual except SP is down. I really believe the 1a champ could beat the 2a champs this season. It might not even be close.

1A probably is down overall, but Union City most likely would have beaten any team for the last 10+ years...for you that are not sold on them, they just might be the best team in west Tn., regardless of classification. You're right. We don't deserve it. 1A outside of the top 2 is the weakest it's been in 40 years.

Union City 2014 is in the category with South Pittsburg 1998, 1999, 2007 and Trousdale Co 1997, 1998, 2005,2008, CPA 2000, Ezell Harding 2001. Those type dominating teams.
